N a m e : Tsubaki, or Tsu for short because one simply cannot be wasting time in a thick, hot bog or where the air is thin on a mountain!

Cold, desolate, and harsh, the last place you would expect to find a Kiamara based on the savanna is in the wilderness of the Siberian forest! With a vast expanse of snow, bone chilling winds, and predators adapted to survive at all costs, Siberia certainly doesn't look like the type of place any Kia in their right mind would want to voluntarily go to, but that's just the thing. Tsubaki adores the challenge that is such a cold and dangerous region, and he loves to be able to prove that fear shouldn't rule someone's life, because in the end it only holds us back. Always adorned in the fluffy "wolf pelt" cap, the artificial fur white flecked with black and varying shades of gray, and tough, thick gray gloves to protect the soles of his paws, this young Kiamara is always ready for the challenge of surviving out in the wild for a few days. One could certainly call that a survivalist instead of just an explorer, but to Tsu they are two peas in the same pot and he has a love for both of them. Even though most of the animals in the Siberian forest are predators, he doesn't seem to mind going out on his own with only a little survival pack strapped onto his back and his knowledge of survival - not that he doesn't always have some way to communicate with civilization. Out of all the animals, predators, prey, omnivores, scavengers, and decomposers, Tsubaki would have to say that his absolute favorite creature he's encountered in the forest is and more than likely always will be the Musked Ox. Why he likes this animal? Even Tsubaki has yet to provide the answer for himself, but there's just something about those big beasts that makes him smile.

The wind ruffled his fur, knocking his hair into his eyes and making the young, much less experienced Kiamara curse softly under his breath, vibrant and dark green eyes watching as the little cloud of fog lifted and dispersed in the cool evening air. Behind the youth, an even smaller Kiamara with a pelt much brighter than his own whined softly like the small child that he was, and green eyes briefly met an almost ebony pair. "Tsu, this is a really bad idea. Momma's going to get upset if I'm not home soon, plus we're not supposed to be h- look! The sun's setting, we have to start heading home," Carson pleaded, not trusting his big brother to come home within a reasonable hour and at the same time far too scared to start walking back to their home by himself. With another little, much more impatient whine he snagged Tsubaki's tail between his teeth and tugged. His older brother only gave a disapproving grunt in response and carried on, black plaid scarf covering the soft baby fur that protected the pale flesh of his neck. In the distance, a cat yowled for someone to let it inside the house and scratched at either a back or front door. Carson shifted from one foot to the other, the winter air getting settled and feeling as if it were filling his bones and weighing them down. The sky was beginning to turn from bright blue to a deep, rich shade of violet and the sun was disappearing way too quickly for his comfort. Tsubaki pressed on, unphased by his brother's uneasiness and rush to get back to their warm bed shared with their mother. He was looking for something specific, standing on his back legs upon a gigantic pile of items long forgotten by the people that once cherished them the most. Gritting his teeth, one almost numb paw felt around a made almost naturally by the disposed items, one of the key ones being a television with a very large back, and his tail nearly flicked, but Carson's grip on it managed to keep it still. Had they been told a lie? Had the older Kias really done this to them? Feeling around but losing a little hope at that thought, his round ears began to flatten to his head, but he kept searching for their very first feathers.

Carson belongs to me and is my first, and so far only, Kia.
