I had entered an earlier plumerian contest and ended up not winning, but I fell in love with the character concept and so I based Raman off of it. <3

#364609name meaning;; Raman is a male Indian name meaning "merriment," or "amour" and Kumar is a surname meaning "child," "son," or "prince."
why i chose this name;; I have a friend named Raman in real life, and we used to joke about her name sounding like Ramen noodles. When I googled it, I found out it's a typically male name. And then I searched for a good last name to match, and the meaning behind it worked as well.
He got it in high school from one of his many girlfriends as a gift for graduation. It was their senior year and he had been dating this girl for about five months. She was sweet, but the relationship didn't last much longer once summer began, and they were both going to be going to different schools so its for the better that they broke up. This scarf she gave him has a lot of sentimental value he holds dear. For starters, it's a token of the longest relationship he's had until this point. Six and a half months was it, but it's still longer than any he had before. Secondly, it was a gift for achieving a huge accomplishment by graduating high school. It reminds him of the good times he had while in high school, but it's also an indication of new beginnings. Now, it's like a good luck charm.
Because it means so much, he wears it all the time, although not always around his neck. Sometimes he ties it around his head, his wrist, or even his ankle. He doesn't wear it constantly, but it's become a part of his persona. It smells a bit like rosesand cologne, with a hint of sweaty boy. It's made out of cotton and polyester so it's soft to the touch, and in one of the corners is embroidered with his initials. He washes it in the laundry about every two weeks, hence where the rose scent comes from. He treasures it dearly, and it's rare to see him without it. <3
personality in depth;;objective-- Raman does his best to not be influenced by his own opinions or the opinions of others when taking things into consideration, and tries to be as unbiased as possible.
procrastinator-- It's very difficult for Raman to get things done right away, and he always puts off things until the last minute, whether it be homework, a project, or even a mother's day gift.
studious-- Raman takes great care to learn as much as he can and because of this his education is very important to him. He pays attention to details and spends a lot of time tending to his schoolwork whenever he isn't partying.
flirtatious-- Raman plays with the hearts of young ladies way more than he should. ;)
good humored-- He doesn't let the opportunity to crack a joke pass him by, and he's always joking about one thing or another and having a laugh.
seductive-- He's got the look, the hair, and the dazzling smile alluring to just about anyone. Goes along with his flirtatious nature.
partier-- Raman just can't resist a good party, especially if it's one without invitations.
self-reliant-- Raman is an independent guy, and even when it comes to group projects he takes initiative rather than wait for someone else to get something done.scintillating-- He's like the life of the party, and his good natured personality shines through in any occasion.
successful-- Raman likes to get things done and can accomplish anything he sets his mind to, that is if he sets his mind to it though.
hard-working-- He is also very hard working and can spend hours devoted to something he really wants finished.
extroverted-- He draws he energy from the environment around him, rather than from within himself and he can't stand being alone for too long a time.
amiable/benevolent-- Raman is very friendly and kind to others, and doesn't wish to inflict harm on anyone, although accidents happen and he sometimes hurts those he is closest too.
passionate-- Raman is very passionate about a wide variety of things, education, lovers, hobbies, and inspirations to name a few.
debonair/urbane-- He is confident, stylish and charming; suave, courteous and refined. A real ladies man.
forthright-- Raman doesn't mess around and he lets others know his honest opinion, sometimes this leads to hurt feelings though.
smooth talk-- Raman has a way with words and is a genuine persuader. He can smooth talk others to doing just about anything he wants, and this especially came in handy during his high school career as he's a real procrastinator and often needed extensions on due dates.
occasionally insouciant-- Sometimes he doesn't bother himself with the problems of others, and he displays a lack of concern for just about everything, usually when he is under high stress.
