☄Name;
Velius. Goes by 'Vel'. Velius is a name of Roman descent meaning 'concealed'. I think it fits this plumerian because of the fear I've associated with him. Velius has a great fear of being concealed, of being engulfed or falling into depths, so the name was picked out for the irony aspect of it.
☄Gender;
Male. Uses 'he', 'him', & 'his' pronouns.
☄Greatest Fear;
''Bathophobia. Abnormal and persistent fear of depths. Sufferers from bathophobia experience anxiety even though they realize they are safe from falling into or being consumed by depths. The feared object may be a long, dark hallway, a well or a deep pool or lake.''
Velius isn't quite sure on how he developed this fear, or why. He just knows that it's something he panics about any time he comes across a dark hallway, or a lake at night. His fear is more prominent in darker spaces since his visibility levels are even lower than what they are during the day. His fear even plagues him as far as making him nauseous when he looks up to the sky and realizes just how far out it goes. Whenever he realizes that something is deeper than what he thought before it makes him anxious. He constantly has those 'falling nightmares', where you jolt awake because you feel like you're falling. His are a bit more extreme, though, and they take him a while to bounce back from. He often tries to avoid long flights of stairs if possible, or if a friend is around he will hold onto them and squeeze his eyes shut. He doesn't have many coping mechanisms to deal with his fear sadly. He mainly just tries to avoid looking into dark corners, or staring off into space. He tries not to think of it and while it's not the best method of coping, it helps just a tad.
☄Extra;
For the extra I did a piece of art of him in the human form I imagine him having, because I can't really draw animals. Click the side img for the full view.
