The origin of this particular species is unknown. It is guess that it was the iqena who sparked the mythos of unicorns, pegasus, kirin, and hundreds more that have become legend. Thousands of years of speculation and wonder have led to the constant search of this elusive species.

Iqena are commonly friendly towards any creature of any world. Their peaceful souls only adding to the mystery of their vast variations. Even the youngest of iqena are clueless to their biological origin. Some say that they are born from the mind, much like the goddess Athena.

Life has many doors. Many worlds, many planes that may never meet... unless an outside force pushes those doors open. But that's for another time-- for now, simply hear the story of 0, the creature that was never meant to be. In another world, technology is king. Megacities of metal that shine in pristine sunlight, where want is nearly wholly gone and all sentient species of the world are able to spend more of their time on higher pursuits. At the time of 0's creation, robotics were the latest trend, each company trying to create better models, ones closer to true life. 0 was an experiment to recreate beings that had been long-thought as myths-- deerlike beings, the Iqena. 0 was, for all purposes, just a proof of concept the team had taken a few liberties with. They had no mouth on their face, but one along the neck and another on the stomach; fully visible circuitry, the ability to project holograms, interface wires for their mane and tail. Just something interesting and pretty to show what the team was capable of. The project was met with approval, and more 'proper' models were created, and 0-- the not even-prototype-- was shuttled away between various departments, a useful little prop to test things.
Eventually, 0 (though at the time, the staff called them 'missing number', due to the model number portion of their file (among others) being blacked out) wound up in the hands of a... rather odd department; one that had been working for some time to breach into the multiverse-- the theory had been proven ages ago to them, it was all just a matter of opening the door, so to speak. The experiment was meant to be a simple one, see if they could create even the tiniest shimmer... but as one might expect in such a situation, things went... wrong. Not catastrophically, and the research department did go on to receive many commendations once the reports were filed, but... they hadn't brought something in.
They'd opened up a tear, and in the brief chaos that followed, 0 got out. The best anyone could figure was that such a (relatively speaking) massive breach threw all known natural laws out of order, likely some force on the other side was stronger and took out the closest thing not bolted to the ground. They figured no harm done though-- after all, 0 wasn't operational, and even then, wasn't really capable of... anything. Right?

Glitch
The laws of nature are not constant between planes. What is synthetic in one might be organic in another, or the other way 'round, or perhaps even something else entirely. Many things that cross simply can't withstand the changes... but sometimes, things will acclimate. 0 fell into the latter-- rather than simply being ripped apart by conflicting natural forces, they... adapted. While close examination would reveal a majority of their body is still a machine, it... is kind of alive. 0 can't be plugged in to charge for example, they have to eat, and the only known waste comes in the form of electrically charged drool from their mouths, or 'tears' in their eyes. They feel pain, they are sensitive to temperature shifts, they require oxygen (though they only 'need' trace amounts) to keep functioning, and they definitely need to sleep now! Yet, though 0's fur is identical (more or less) to that of what you'd expect to find in a living animal, if you were to peel it back, you'd find... well, metal! Preliminary examinations have shown that 0's internal structure is still mostly wires, gears, servos and the like. Their mane might have become proper hair as well, but their tail is still made up of countless thin interface wires, which allow 0 to temporarily plug in and interface with computers, game systems and the like. All it really does is allow them to 'speak' (usually via text-to-speech programs) and play games... more or less how they'd be done with something like the Oculus Rift, but they enjoy the extra dimension and lack of controllers, since those are quite difficult to work with hooves.

As you might have guessed, this is why 0 is always 'glitching'-- they themselves are a glitch in the fabric of a couple realities, something that by all rights should not have survived... but has not only done that, but outright thrived! The only ongoing issues they've really noticed would be that their holograms are constantly blinking on and off, and nothing they've done has changed this in the slightest. But they don't mind it too much... even if it does have a tendency to attract moths and the like at night.

Do They Dream?
Short answer: no. 0 does not dream.

But they do sleep, they eat and taste and feel-- physically and emotionally. They love the taste of fresh-baked bread spread with butter and grape jelly, the scent of air charged just before a lightning strike, the warmth of lying out in a sunny spot all day or running out in the snow. They find stories they love, people they love, places and things they adore. They're fascinated by technology, astounded with how much progress humanity has made in this reality (since it seems a number of things just work against them-- they don't quite have solid memories of their original home, but 0 does have some innate knowledge of how things worked there), and how much is yet to come.

0 believes in the best of people, always eager to make a new acquaintance... so long as the other party isn't too terribly put off by a neck-mouthed blue cyborg that by all rights should not exist. Which is actually a surprising number of people, 0 finds it incredible how quickly others managed to get over the shock! They've also started to meet other Iqena, though they are... a little afraid when it comes to that. Even if it's not well known how Iqena are made, they feel they're still... different., since they know for a fact they were made by human hands, weren't even meant to be more than an empty shell. But as they've learned more about Iqena, their mythology... they wonder if perhaps they aren't entirely a mistake, if something higher hadn't found a purpose for the empty shell after all...

the reason behind ene's glitching is because she is actually a regular iquena,
but was turned into a computer program. it is unknown how or why she turned
into one, but it happened unexpectedly. she is glitching because she is not in
the right place, her body and mind trying to go back to normal. another reason
she could be glitching is because of her eyes. although they may seem normal,
she actually contains a power within them called 'opening eyes'.

ｅｙｅ ｐｏｗｅｒ ;;

ene's eye ability is known as the "opening eyes", which allows her to be
immortal and to transform into a cyber-being. after regaining her regular
iquena form as takane, she is able to send her consciousness into electronic
devices and control them as her cyber-self did, as long as there is a wireless
port. while using this power, her body temporarily loses its consciousness.

Name: Why, this handsome beaut's name is going to be Seragaki Aoba -- Aoba for short 瀬良垣 蒼葉.

Personality: Aoba is usually a calm and caring person offering his help in any way he can. He smiles often and is very kind to others. He can also stand up for himself and know when to hold his ground when he's being insulted or preyed upon. He became very violent, breaking his opponents' minds and causing permanent damage from using Scrap on them. However, after a certain incident, he was sent to the hospital and ended up losing all memories of his previous personality before. Due to his power, Aoba's mind was divided in two: the Aoba everyone knows and another personality symbolizing Aoba's Scrap power.

Why is he glitching:? As you just read a little bit of Aoba's history, the reason he's glitching is because the "Scrap power" is trying to waken. Both personalities are trying to take over, so the effect of that is causing him to seem like he's glitching.
