Paragraph: Well her scars weren't done with pride in the battlefield (Actors roleplaying an old battle) or from a flight from some scary monster after her. She was mainly a horse that was being used to help teach a young man to learn how to fence from horseback and on the ground with someone attacking from a horse. The man was so green that when he struck the first time along her stomach he had tried to stop mid motion only to fall back swinging his arms to catch him causing the marking to be come like a cross. The two over her rump were the cause from shards of boards flying at her from a new stallion with some temper on him. It's not like she chose to be crossed tied while being groomed to have the stallion kicking the stalls as he came into the barn cause he didn't like the other males nearby.

Paragraph: Being because of her fairy like appearance, Nyx was captured by humans and kept in a cage when she was young and sadly still reliant on her parents. She was sold to a circus witch treated their animals curly and kept them horrendous conditions often leaving many of the animals malnourished and wild. The circus pinned wings to her back and advertised her as the "Dark fairy horse" to attract their coustomers and to get Nyx to act wild and unpredictable they would often whip her and prod her with cattle rods witch wound her into a fury. The years of abuse and harsh conditions left scars on her, mentally and physically both equally cruel. The circus was shut down, and when they where moving her out of her cage to transport her to a safe farm, Nyx bolted and vanished into the wilds.

Theres not much to tell about how she got the scars - she was born with them. Her mother was a bit shocked at first sight, and her dad was very surprised too, but then they thought that if nature itself made them without any intervention, there must be a sense in that - and seeing it today, with her being the most protective equid that ever exists, her parents came to the conclusion they must be a symbol of some higher power showing she would always take scars for others, especially for those she likes and those who in trouble without their debt.

Paragraph: These scars are self inflicted. Yes, self inflicted, Althea is a very deep and spirit bound eqid taking everything to heart and knowing everything has a meaning. She has been with multiple stallions in her live and has each time hoped beyond hope to be given a colt or filly in the process... She has no such luck, every time she fails to become with child she harms herself, gaining these scars as a painful reminder that fate has not yet granted her young, nor does it seem to want to. Through all her pain and suffering, Althea does not loose hope though and is very strong in dealing her own pain, it makes her resolve stronger.

Paragraph: Puck was born to a wild herd of equids, but was captured as a young filly. Sadly the humans that got hold of her were inexperienced and resorted to cruel methods when Puck proved more difficult to tame than intended. The scars she carries to this day, as a determined mare that governed her own fate by escaping, were human inflicted. A rope pulled too tightly here, a harness attached incorrectly there. The cross-shaped scar on her side was the most malicious in nature, resulting from one of her owners angry fits where he threw a sharp and heavy object at Puck in his rage. There is no uncertainty in anyone's eye about why Puck is so reclusive and wary, or angry and bitter; it's obvious from the marks she bears and the past she carries.

Paragraph: She was running around at night like always just enjoying life and being free. She was with other equids when they heard a strange noise. Rrrrrrrrrrrrooooomm. Two head lights were speeding towards the heard everyone was so confused they couldn't move. Then a creature with two legs came out. Then another, then another. They were holding nets and bags. The biggest started coming towards Night Mare with a net. He threw it over her and she fell to the ground. Because of instinct she kicked and ''screamed'' and in the process she got some scraps and scars. Then they hit her with a needle that made her go to sleep. When she woke up she was in a strange place with other equids. There was lots of two legged creatures big and small talking and yelling and petting the equids. Then one person came along to Night Mare's place and looked at her. She just stared at her she didn't say anything. After a few minutes she asked how much she was was. After the dealer said $50 Night Mare was lead out of her cage and into a trailer. Then she went through a super bumpy ride to this HUGE meadow where she is now up for adoption to her final forever home

Paragraph: It was dark, the night sky covered in clouds, the only light available was quick zaps of electricity with a loud crash following; every creature used their time wisely trying to savor those precious seconds of light before they melted into the maddening pitch black, others.. used it to their advantage. The darkness should cover her well, she was safe tonight as she strolled along in the open path between the trees; Little did she know something was following her, she cared little to be alert this night, though she soon was aware of her shadow: it stood ahead on the path, waiting, watching. Onyx sensed this along with unease that only went wild and jumped in her heart catching a low mocking growl at her foolishness, she was being watched, she was in danger, something could see her.. but she could not see it; the growls deepened but they were not without amusement, it echoed against her pivoting ears before she realized this growl was circling her, fear then crashed against her bones and pulsed throughout her body with flaring nostrils. Finally: A flash of the precious light hit the soft earth with a crash, revealing the contrast of a large cat with rounded ears, a cougar that lived in these mountains with her species; panic set in, the instinct of flight inside her jumped forcing her to bound off, but it came to late, what felt like razors ripped against her dark pelt that lied on her side in her turn but they did not grip; others embedded in her hindquarters but ripped away as she ran leaving the deep growls of the cat in the grove, as she calmed she sought out a cave letting the darkness overcome her: She had gotten away that night, she is lucky, but she did not make it out unscathed or without memory of the frightful night.

Paragraph: A stormy night, curled close to mother's side next to the sheer cliff face, where she shields me from the rain with her body. The growls of thunder, now mixed with the growls of the hunter as a mighty mountain cat crept along the ledge we sheltered on. Mother screaming in defiance against the predator, now standing, and putting herself between the cat and me. My young legs barely lifting me, stumbling on the wet rock surfaces as I ran along the edge, slipping, crumbling, falling... The morning light shining in my eyes, as mother wakes me by nuzzling at my ear and I scramble to my hooves again, my belly and hind leg, torn by the rocky cliff face I had fallen down.
