Ɖαιʌα
The Name
Daiva, a name meaning "destiny" in Lithuanian. It suits her, as she does have a destiny. She's unsure what her destiny is, but does have one.
Her Owner
I used to be Skykiwi, but changed it to Fea as I preferred it more. I'm willing to care for this gorgeous mare and I'll do whatever it takes to keep her happy. At Pintaloosa Plains, my stables, she'll have a friend, large paddocks and a stall awaiting her arrival.
Gender, Age and Height
Daiva is a mare of course. At the age of 12, she's a big mare. Daiva is exactly 17.5hh, a tall but not huge horse. She's a gentle giant, that's for sure.
Personality
Daiva is calm but certainly not lazy. She's willing to work for you no matter what if you give her everything she needs, including love and affection. Laid back is the best way to describe Daiva. Anything else will make her sound too lazy or too hardworking. It doesn't take much to earn her trust, but when you break her trust with you it's not so easy to earn back.
Daiva prefers to eat grass and nap in the pasture much more than galloping and playing. But she will do it if necessary. Her goal is to please her owner, and to be loved and to give love back.
Riding Skills
Daiva is a carriage horse. She has been pulling carriages for many years, ever since she was 4 years old. She can turn the worst corners, carry a wagon the quickest and anything else most carriage horses can't do. Wagon races need a little work, she finds the wagons heavier. But she's learning quickly and she's ready for the Onion Wagon Race. She can't wait to race and is hoping to be #1 this year.
History
Daiva was born at a small barnyard in Lithuania. Sadly, her dam had died during birth and Daiva was bottle fed with cows milk. At the age of three, she started training to pull carriages. Daiva learned quickly and gained many skills that would become useful at the wagon races. The Lithuanian farmers had grown to be 60 years old, and could no longer care for the animals and the crops. They sold the farm and all the animals, including their treasured Daiva.
Daiva was sold to Pintaloosa Rangers and arrived several months after the sale. They trained her in wagon racing and entered her in the Onion Wagon Race. After the race it will be decided if she gets sold or if she stays.
