i discovered icaunus' hobby not long after the little guy was born. since i spend most of my time out on the ocean off the coast of massachusetts, he grew to love every bit of it, just as much as i did. since icaunus was too small to help me with our boat, he couldn't really delve his time into sailing. so instead, he'd ask me questions about what the ocean looked like under our little vessel. i used to tell him stories in order to answer these inquiries. i told him all about the life under the sea; from plant life to corals to dolphins, whales, sharks, and the innumerable amounts of beautiful fish. icaunus fell in love with these concepts, so he decided to study my stories. he poured all of his spare time into learning everything he could about the marine life underneath our boat. he was fascinated with each creature, and he took it upon himself to learn the names and habitats of every single fish species. (he still has a bit of work to do on that one.) my curious little friend has big dreams now, and he hopes to find new ways of marking where each specific type of creature dwells. he also dreams of finding ways to keep his beloved sea creatures from becoming ill. icaunus may be small, but his knowledge is vast, and his dreams are enormous.
