His purple markings remind me of stardust, nebulas, and just
space in general; so i thought it'd be a good choice to have a
name relating to these things.

Story:
Before Sujumi hatched, Sunor found him. The egg layed in a riverbed and seemed to be driven down from the mountains nearby.
Sunor felt that it still had been warm inside, so he took it with him and tried to hatch it. And it worked.
So Sujumi recognized Sunor as his Family or more like his father.
