Regalis

===============================

N a m e M e a n i n g::

Regal in Latin
Regal Definition:
of, resembling, or fit for a monarch, especially in being magnificent or dignified.

===============================

P e r s o n a l i t y::

Regalis is a an amazing mare. She is kind of like those "perfect" girls at your school, why seem to be flawless in every way! Yet, she has her own troubles hidden inside her heart. Sometimes being perfect, and being looked up to is hard! Instead of just having fun, she is messing around with her looks, and making sure she still keeps up with that horse everyone knows her to be. She looks down at the other horses who don't care of their coat is covered in mud, and how they go on risky adventures, and she is really kind of sad that she can't do it. Every summer she is pulled out of the pastures, and taken to the stable to train. Regalis excels at dressage, and is the best competition horse the stable has had and known so far! Everything she does looks flawless and like the rider isn't even asking her. Her favorite thing is doing dressage when the music is on. She will move her hoofs to the beat.
Regalis does not have many friends besides the humans. She is more friendly with people than any of the other horses because she spends her whole summer with them at special Pardus shows. She has had crushes on a few different stallions at shows, but their pride turns her down, as she seems to beat all of the boys!
Regalis is not much for winter or summer. She likes spring the best. Summer makes her hot and sweaty, winter gets her cold, wet, and muddy. Fall... well, I guess it is just bad getting used to the fact that it will start raining, and going back to the pastures... oh! Thunderstorms! Regalis HATES thunderstorms. Their is another mare in the stable that is also a competition Pardus, and she finds beauty and is in awe of the thunder and lightning. Regalis doesn't quite agree with that!
She tends to be very naughty and moody when she is in heat. She will kick, nip, rear, and make lots of noise! Gladly for the people, she is usually out in the pasture at this time, and away from the barns!

===============================

H i s t o r y::

Regalis was born at a Pardus Equus breeding farm. Their are only one or two actual large breeding farms for the Pardus in the whole world! Their are more smaller farms who adopt, keep, and some show Pardus to keep the breed alive.
Regalis was not trained until she was sold to me stable. Before that, she went on a few small fairs, to show the pubic one of the rarest and beautiful horse breeds alive. Everyone loved Regalis especially because of her extra pintaloosa markings. They would gather around and feed her carrots and pat her. She was one of the more tame horses at the farm. When she was sold, the owners and workers where very sad to see her leave. She was always their spoiled little princess, but they had to make room for more young foals.
When she came to the new stable, she was quite confident that she would be even more spoiled than the first. Come to find out, it was training time! It was not hard at first, but that cold bit and heavy saddle didn't seem fit for a royal like her! She fought for a short time, but gave up because she was getting too hot. In less than six months, she was cantering around the arena perfectly.
The hardest part for her was when fall came. She was put in a very large pasture with over 30 acres! She was quite surprised and looked at the humans with confusion as how she was going to stay alive... but nope! They just drove away in their tractor leaving her their.
She adjusted quite slowly to the pasture. Their was only young fillies like her in it, and they had all known each other since they where foals. They would stare at her in shock almost, on how perfect she was. They had been out in the pasture almost all summer, and had not been trained yet. After getting used to her their, the just tended to avoid her, as if she was going to hate them for their looks. Regalis was quite lonely, and sad that she gave that impression.
Winter was hard for Regalis. She grey a long, fuzzy coat, and her long mane kept her neck warm. She became used to going to sleep while the wind swept across her body. She even got closer to one of the fillies, spending a small amount of time grooming her. The pasture had a automatic heated water source, so they where never thirsty, but it was hard to find food and grass when the snow was deep.
When spring came, Regalis actually enjoyed shedding her winters coat, and getting her bright and shiny summer coat! She was very proud of it, and would trot around the pasture showing if her dressage skills. The other fillies where far away, but al least the birds enjoyed her performances. They would chip, and she would dance to it.
It was one day in early summer when she herd the humming of the tractor. It had been such a long time, and she thought that they where just going to come and check on her like they had a few times during the winter. Surprisingly, when she was them, they where holding halters! She nickered and walked up to the gate. The stable hands where surprised, and patted her and slipped the halter on. Then, she was lead back to the stable. After about twenty minutes of walking down narrow dirt roads between pastures, the barn cam into view. She let out a whinny of joy, happy to be home! The stable hands that has been their the year before smiles, and greeted her with a pat as she was lead into her stall.
Gradually Regalis was brought back into dressage training, and her first show was approaching! These shows where meant especially for Pardus Equus, and their amazing dressage skills. A week before the show, she was being trained hard, and was rewarded with a warm mash after each successful lesson.
Her first show was quite scary. She had forgotten what it was like to have so many people around, talking and laughing. And this was more of her kind than she had ever seen! They where just like her, with their long and wavy manes and tails, but all different shapes and colors. As she entered the arena, she felt her rider take a deep breath. She responded also with a deep breath, and when asked, she took her first flying step forward. It went quickly, and before she knew it, they where walking out of the dressage arena. She could feel her rider looking back at the judges. After lots of pats and cool drinks of water, it was time to go find out the results. A fancy halter was slipped over her head as she was lead back into the arena. She was in the junior class because she was still young. The horses lined up and the judges started announcing the winners from least to best scores. Every time her name was not called, she was getting even more exited! Did she do good? At last, her and a beautiful shiny chestnut mare stood their. Their was a moment of silence, and then the winner was announced! It was not her. Sadly, she had come in second. Her rider gave her a big pat and received the ribbon, attaching it to Regalis's halter. Regalis was a little disappointed, but she was happy with the big pink and purple ribbon tails fluttering on her neck as she walked.
From that she on, Regalis improved her score at shows. The next three shows she attended she got first places, and the fourth she got a second! Only high scores for Regalis!

P o e m::

Through the walls it thundered on.
The hoof beats of the Regal one

Her movements swift, her eyes awake
the ground will quiver, the gates will shake

lightly brushing the crumbled ground
the silky mane shines like the sun

she stands up tall and proud, she won
she is strong and brave, but she is having fun

it needs a leader loyal and bright
who will lead us to the light

and let her name be known to all
For the Regal has just strike down

Man I suck at poetry! How do people do it?

Sadly, my art will not be completed in time, if I win her I will have it done as soon as possible, if not I will do it for another Pardus:
Here is what I have so far!:

Name: Irish Rover
Number: 19
Gender: Stallion
age: 5
colour: Seal Bay Pintaloosa
Personality: Rover is very gentle. He is not afraid of anything and he is a very easy boy. He is a very chatty boy, he likes to talk about everything he has seen and lived. He is a very unique horse and he loves that.

Story: Rover was born with a very unique coat. When Rover was still a colt he would love to go adventuring on his own. He has seen many things since and could tell his whole herd about his little adventures. When he grew up to a beatiful stallion he decided it was time to leave his current herd. He first went on several adventures and met some mares along the way, which joined him on his adventure. After a while he decided it was time to move to a permanent place. So that his mares could foal and weren't in danger now and again.

Special Adopt!

#0019

Name;; The Divine Infection {Plague}
Gender;; Stallion
Height;; 15.3 hh
Age;; Six years
Coloring;; Seal Bay Pintaloosa, Minimum Upper
History;;
What do you do when you're dealt a bad hand in life? And I don't just mean random unlucky events, I mean you're destiny just seems to be screwing everything up and making everyone hate you. Well, poor Plague here, has suffered through just that. He'd been born in late fall, when many were beginning to grow their winter coats and bulk up for the cold season that lay ahead. So the young colt was already faced with the challenge of surviving winter, something nearly impossible for very young foals. But he managed through it, with the constant attention of his mother. She always kept him close and nursed him constantly, nearly to the point it was beginning to affect her. She grew dangerously skinny throughout the cold months, but continued to put all of her efforts towards her son. The mare died a week before spring came around, too weak to continue on. The colt was only three months old at the time, still very young and in need of a mother. If there weren't so many mothers who'd lost their foals to mountain lions earlier in the year, he could have been in trouble. So one took him in, and nursed him until he was about six months old, old enough to be weaned off of milk. It was after that, we could really begin to see why he got the name 'Plague'. He'd already lost his mother at a very young age, and those memories were rather fuzzy to him by now, as he was continuing on with his life. He was an adventurous little colt, always wandering off from the herd, tempting fate by going out of sight on his own. And one day, one of his older half siblings tagged along on one of his adventures, just to watch him, of course. As Plague pranced on ahead, his older sibling was on the lookout for danger, all around them, except for on the ground. Plague had managed to avoid the death trap somehow, but his older sibling stepped right into it. A bear trap. He took off to get help from an elder horse, but by the time he'd brought them back, his sibling was already dead from blood loss, having struggled against the metal clamp too much.
From that day forth, he was no longer allowed out of sight, nor was he allowed near any of the other foals or yearlings. The adults kept a watchful eye on him throughout the day, but nighttime was a different story. He liked to sneak off in the midst of he night once everyone was fast asleep, and on one particular night, he noticed something in the distance. A faint red glow. He could smell smoke and something else, but being the curious yearling he was, he dared to find out just what it was. To keep things short, it was wranglers, camping out in hopes to capture the horses they came across. And when they woke up and noticed Plague sniffing around the site, his herd's fate had been sealed. He'd foolishly ran back to them, neighing loudly in fright as the wranglers chased him on their own horses. As the herd scattered, he went into hiding. And the next morning, his whole herd was gone. You could call him bad luck. You could call him a coward. But now, the name 'Plague' was ever so fitting, because everyone avoided him as that. Avoided him like the plague.
Personality;;
Loner. Social outcast. Freak. Bad luck. Those are some of the terms many would use to describe this stud. And he is just fine with that. He believes every statement, every mean word. Plague is a bad seed, a bad hand. Wherever he goes, chaos seems to follow close behind. It's like a stormcloud is always hanging over him, but lightning only ever strikes those he chooses to get close to. So Plague has learned to prefer being alone. Yes, he gets lonely, but he stays by himself for the safety of others. And sure every now and again a pretty mare tempts him, but every time he comes around, they all seem to flee. Most if not all know about him and just how unlucky he is, and choose to avoid him entirely. Plague doesn't feel bitter towards them, though, he doesn't blame them for wanting to save themselves. But he's a sad stud. He often finds himself wandering around, just watching everyone from a distance, enjoying their happy, normal lives. And he wishes he could have just that, he'd give anything to not be the most unlucky being to walk the earth. Honestly he's a very kind stallion. He'd do anything to prove to everyone he's not all bad. All he wants is to find someone to love, start a herd, and settle down, have a few foals. That would be a dream come true to him, but he knows it's not possible. In all honesty, he's scared to get near others anymore, or even think about having foals. What if they inherit his bad luck? What if something awful happens to them? He would never purposefully put another being's life in danger, so he's pretty much given up on those dreams. Maybe someday, someone brave enough will approach him and be able to balance out his bad luck. Maybe someday he'll be able to show just how kind and sweet he really is and prove everyone wrong. All he wants if friendship. Love. But for now, he is the Plague, and everyone will continue to treat him as such.
Other;;
I know it's all really long and rather sad, but his coloring just makes me think of the bubonic plague, aka the 'black plague'. And with a little bit of creativity and tweaking, we have the perfect name for an unlucky horse. I could have gone with Fluke or something, but I think this is more original. I just felt like I should explain that a bit, sorry! But good luck to everyone else who's entered for this beauty!
/sorry Plague/
