A short story or art: A beam of sunlight streaming through the green trees revealed dust eddies swirling in their wake. The child crawled into the space, sitting on an old, decaying log. Ella chewed the end of her pencil, which she was grasping between her toes. She continued. The girl set her sketchpad upon the leafy ground, and pulled out a tin of colored pencils. Picking up the pad once more, she flipped through the pages, taking care not to rip any, until she found a blank page. Pulling out a light green pencil, the girl placed it on the paper. Moving it rhythmically around the page, the girl traced the outlines of the leaves on the ground in front of her. Next she pulled out a deep vermilion red. She lightly traced the veins of the leaves, coloring in the leaves with the same mint green once she was done. Ella frowned. This was getting dull. It was all about her drawing... Ella took the page between her two foreclaws and studied it. Action needed to happen. Who wanted to hear about a human girl drawing? But Ella didn't care. It wasn't like her writing was going to be published, anyhow. So she put pencil to paper once more. This was how it was.
