Name: Troy
What does he remind you of: He reminds me of tribes - the aboriginal ones, how they would paint walls and hunt for their tribe. It's some how calming
Background (history, a story of his past life, etc.):

Troy scrambled over the rocks, the small parrapup was so close to the top! He had almost given up on the idea since he had lost most of his tools.
"No!" He screeched as he face-planted into the dirt surface and skidded back - right until he was near the bottom. Troy huffed in annoyance, and tried once again.
Every minute counted, every second were priceless - he moved up, slowly...slowly...sllloooowwwwlllyyy...ah-ha! He made it! The small parrapup puffed out his chest proudly, he threw his head forward - about to squawk out some loud sentence,
"Troy, no, now come along Possum," his mother called, waiting for her sons presence - which she got after she scrambled down the hill of rock that went up to someone's waist, collecting a stick, rock and a few leaves on the way...

((I realize I'm finishing this late, however I would have felt bad leaving this unfinished. If it is disqualified, I will totally understand. Good luck to whoever wins this beautiful pup!))

Username: Soriams
Name: Ra-Horakhty
What does he remind you of:
Perhaps it is just the CS Summer Event, but his markings remind me of the Egyptian Wadjet, or Eye of Horus.
Background (history, a story of his past life, etc.):
Ra backpedaled, slowing his descent to set his feet down on the hot sand, grimacing slightly as his weight settled and the warm grains worked their way up between his toes. It didn't matter how many times his feet touched the sand, he would never get used to that feeling. It had been six weeks since he had left the cool, rainy forests of his youth, flying east towards the dawn each morning until his wings became too tired to carry him further. It had been three days since the winds had warmed and the trees were left behind, and there was only a half a day of grass after that before even that sparse vegetation gave way to the barren sand that now stretched as far as the eye could see.

Sighing, Ra knew there was nothing here, whatever he had thought he had seen quite simply wasn't here and it was time to move on. Leaping up into the air, his wings found purchase and he turned towards the red dawn that still hung heavily in the east. In truth, Ra was beginning to doubt there was anything out here at all, and there was this little nagging voice in the back of his head that chastised him for leaving in the first place. Just why had he left the safety of the forest anyway? What was he hoping to find out here in the middle of the desert? To be perfectly honest, even Ra didn't know exactly what he was looking for. Ever since he was a tiny pup, he had been drawn to the east, the sun beckoning him, calling him like an irresistible song.

Moving onward agains the oppressive heat, Ra few through the intense sun for the rest of the day. Just as he was contemplating trying to find shelter in the unwelcoming sand, something on the horizon caught his attention. Seeming to nestle between the dunes was a luminous strip, reflecting the orange from the sunset behind him. At first he thought it nothing more than a mirage, as the illusions had tormented him earlier in the day, but even after changing angles on it still appeared. Curious, he pressed his tired wings to carry him further, but as with many things in the open desert, it was much further away than it seemed and he found himself flying long into the starlit night. Somewhere in the darkened silence that settled over him, Ra became lost. Flying into the night, the land stretched unseen below him and the stars overhead wheeled as though he stood still. There was no telling how much time passed like that, and Ra moved blindly, allowing his mind to wander adrift.

Suddenly, a dark shape loomed up in front of him, and before Ra could react he crashed into it, the impact sending him tumbling ot the ground. Head spinning, he coughed, spitting out sand from his beak as he got up to his feet, shaking out his feather. Thoroughly confused, his eyes grew wide as he realized his was suddenly surrounded by black shadows and a gentle rustling, sending a jolt of panic through him. It was then that he realized that he had something clasped between his front paws, a piece of whatever he had crashed into and grasped in an attempt to break his fall. Looking down at it, he found a large leaf, nearly twice his size and he looked up with wonder. He had spent so much time in the air above the sand that he had almost forgotten what it was like to have trees overhead. Far different from the tall hardwoods he had known in his youth, the saying palms towered impossibly high. Their spindly trunks somehow supporting the great crest of tough leaves and coconuts that hung heavily from them.

For along time, Ra stared up at the darkened shapes, trying to decipher them against the darkened sky. After awhile though he had to give up, it was futile until the light of dawn returned. Now allowing himself to wander, he moved deeper into the oasis, the harsh sand turning to soft grass beneath his paws. Then, just as suddenly as they had appeared, the trees disappeared and Ra found himself standing on the bank of a wide river. Overwhelmed with joy, he satiated his thirst and was the dust from his feathers.

Laying on the beach, Ra preened his feathers while he looked out over the water. The horizon was just beginning to lighten and while he watched, the sun peaked out over the horizon, sending light spreading out over the grove. Much to his surprise, Ra found himself not just on the bank of a river, but smack dab in the middle of two. His crash landing had brought him right into the confluence of two great rivers, a forest of swaying palms, sweet smelling dates and reeds surrounding him. Everything was new and strange, and as he looked around himself, a smile slowly grew across his face, a sudden rush of happiness passing over him. Whatever this place was, for the first time in his life, Ra felt like he was home.

What does he remind you of:A target board
Background (history, a story of his past life, etc.): "Mother?" Was it hopeless? His mom had been missing for three weeks. There was no way he could find them.. right? He was starving. Mother had gone out of their home to find food. But mom said to not leave the nest. But he was hungry. He took two steps towards the outside. Blinding light flashed at him. Closing his eyes he took 4 more steps, and fell into darkness. "Where am i? Mom, everything hurts!" Slowly opening his eyes he saw red beady eyes staring at him. "Please don't eat me!" "Hahaha" came a creaky voice. "I'm Pull, who are you?" Not aware of any danger the young parrapup blinked slowly. "I'm Dullen, where am I" "Your at your end"Dullen was aware of nothing except the snapping of jaws. He ran as fast as he could when he tripped over a branch. He closed his eyes expecting to die. "Pull! Don't terrorize this young'un" "But i'm starving!" "SO AM I!" The voice that saved him lept onto the mean one and Dullen could hear the ripping of flesh. He took his chance amd ran off into a vast jungle. "Dullen?" came a weak voice. "Mother!" Dullen ran towards the comforting sound when he halted. "Mother?" He saw his mother skinny as he was." Dullen.. I love, you" "NO...mother I love you" Sobbing he sat by her side when he saw a pile of food that he gulped down. He would survive, for his mother.

EDIT 3: Done!

Username: Shenzai
Name: Septer
What does he remind you of: Some sort of temple from an ancient civilization, maybe from another world.

Background: Septer was born in a grove near a human town. His parents often told him stories about the humans; dangerous creatures he should avoid but could also provide easy meals, if only he was smart enough to deal with them. His father kept on bragging about this one time when he broke into a human nest and took three chickens without being caught and Septer really wanted to try doing something similar one day.

As soon as he learned how to fly, he ventured closer to the humans and watched. He was always careful, but each time, he went closer and closer until one day he managed to snatch a sandwich from an adult human’s paws. Proud of himself as he was, he came back and told all of his friends. The adults said it was too dangerous, especially for young parras, but Septer didn’t listen and kept going back to the human town every day for more watching, always bringing home something interesting for his friends to see.

As time passed, Septer started liking to simply watch the humans more than the praise he got for successfully stealing their things. He learned to distinguish the dangerous areas from the calmer ones and found a perfect spot from where he could study human life closer. But no matter how much he watched, he was always left with a lot of questions. And once he reached his teen age, all that questioning started making him question even the things he already knew.

Septer then turned to watch more of his own kind as well. He began asking questions to other parras, starting discussions about many subjects. Despite often ending in laugher and jokes, everybody seemed to be enjoying his thinking rather than making fun of him. For some time, his visits to the human roosts had become shorter and fewer.

But when he was finally fully grown, his interest in the humans grew stronger again and every day he returned to his favorite watching spot in the town. Among the humans he watched hidden in there was a lady with a long dark brown mane. He recalled watching her quite a few times as she went outside to water her plants when he was younger. This lady also used to catch a glimpse of Septer and upon noticing his return, she decided to leave some food for him.

At first, he approached carefully, grabbed the food as fast as he could and left, but over time, they started building more trust for each other, until one day Septer grew enough courage to dive and meet her personally, right when she was putting the food for him at her window. She was surprised at him showing up like that. The lady then slowly moved her hand closer to his face and sensing no harm in her, he let her touch him. Septer even ignored the food at that moment, feasting on it just after he spent minutes sharing kindness and playing with the friendly human.

He then met her every day. They quickly became good friends and she even let him into her house whenever he wanted. They played together, sang together and even went around the town together. As he realized he stayed with the human lady more than at the woods, he decided that would be officially his new home.

(I wasn't expecting to write this much but I got carried away into his story. Well, there wasn't any set limit of words, right?)

What does he remind you of: Madam Red (from Black Butler)
Background (history, a story of his past life, etc.): Crimson looked over the edge of his nest. He jumped down to a lower tree branch, then jumped off and started flying relatively close to the ground. He quickly dodged the trees and bushes until he got to the biggest tree near his nest. Crimson swooped up and landed on a high branch. He grabbed a fruit and started chomping on it.
