Personality: Stunner is a sweet and gentle kind of mare whom rather enjoys being out with her friends in the field. She likes to run round and play with other horses, and even the dogs and cats as well. She enjoys being out if it is not too hot and not too cold. And she really likes foals as well.
History: Stuner was born to the mare Stunning Angel, and an unknown stallion we believe to be the boy Gratified Thief. We don't honestly know if he really is her father, but we like to believe so because she has his looks within her. She was taught by her mother at a young age to recognize all the signs and warnings, to know what is danger and what is not.S he was brought to the ranch when we found out that she was abused along with her mother by their owner...
Yes, and then I came along and found this lovely mare here at the ranch, as stated above by one of the workers she was abused as well as her mother. Me and my father were looking for another horse for barrel racing and we found Stunner. We brought her home to Riverbend and we took care to re teach her to trust and then I started her training and now she is an amazing barrel race runner.

Personality: Butter is very kind and easy going in the barn, in the show rink she is competitive, but not overly so, she does her thing and follows her commands so she can get back to hanging with her barn buddys.
History: Butter was bred right into CWHR and raised and trained there, so she is among the best Western Dressage horses and has won many blue ribbons, the earliest starting from halter classes when she was still just a weanling, but somehow, with all her pampering and ribbons and praise, she's stayed a sweet, calm mare who would be a great mother and, when older, a great beginner's mare.

I looked up at my trainer, she had personally volunteered to lead me through my first ever show, I was young, I'd only been weaned a month or two ago and this was all a little overwhelming. She smiled at me and gently stroked my neck, her touch was calming and energizing at the same time, I was ready. * * * We walked into the ring, we were that last to perform and my trainer had obviously seen some excellent performances, and I could tell by the way that some handlers, and even some other weanlings, had looked at me, that some of them had been to shows before. We walked in confidently, our heads held perfectly, our postures impeccable, and stopped at cone A, I wanted very badly to win, and to show how amazing my trainer had done, especially since I'd heard the voice say I was "youngest" and "Least favored to win", so I stopped square so that she wouldn't have to adjust me at all. she walked over in front of me, taking only three steps, confidently, she never looked at her feet, not once, she brightened her smile for the judge and straightened her posture a little, as soon as the judge nodded, she passed back in front of me and signaled for me to begin, we were only doing one pattern, and it was fairly simple, all I had to do was walk past cone B and begin to trot around cone C, then, when I was slightly past cone B again, I slowed back to a walk and continued on to cone J, squaring as I stopped, the judge inspected me, and I almost moved, but reminded myself that that was the worst thing I could do, instead I looked back on what I had done, I'd known this pattern so well, and we'd worked on it so much, she hardly had to signal me at all, I was proud of myself, and looked back on my trainer's words "compete against yourself, Butter" she'd said, this was my best yet, I'd already won first place, nothing else mattered, I was sure my trainer would be proud of me. The judge finished and we walked out of the ring, my trainer stroked me gently, telling my how well I'd done and how proud of me she was, as we waited for the Judges to tally up their score (not sure how that part works) The voice said something, but I didn't quite understand it, everyone was looking at me strangely, and my trainer was beaming, it made me "smile" she led me out into the ring, I'd won my first show ever.

Ok, so, there's the story, it's kind of inspired by what's going on in my life right now because I'll more than likely be entering my first show next Friday with my 8 year old Mustang Gelding, I'm super excited and kind of scarred. I'm hoping it goes as well as this story did!

I'm going to draw a diagram of the pattern (it's the first one I learned with my horses, so it's special to me) but I have a show at the 4-H fair tomorrow and I have Marching Band pre-camp and such, but I might be able to do it later tonight or Sunday, sorry it's been so long.
