Why She is Blind:
Well if you really must know Venus has become blind due to an accident from when she was just a filly. It was a nice and sunny summer day, out in the pasture while the nice summer breeze blew through. A butterfly had caught ahold of her attention and of course her and her clumsyness got the best of those new wobbly leg's, she pranced and dashed around following the butterfly's swiftful grace not paying any attention. Such a curious little girl of course, she had stumbled over her own feet and didnt know of it until she hit the barb's, pain struck all over her face and fronter lobe's. It's miraculous how she still has her eye today but where there once was a beautifully colored bright green orb now stay's a pale blue orb that make's it quite hard to see.. From that day on she's learned how to keep cuation of her surrounding's.

Why She is Blind: Valli was a Yearling when She noticed her mother leaving the herd. She was still young and knew little about the world so when she saw strange things on the backs of other equines leading her mother away, she followed them. The Horses Picked Up speed as their masters pushed them into a run to get off the national park with their illegal Prize. The Large dust cloud blinded her from seeing the barbed wire fence everyone had jumped over and she crashed into with a squeal. As she struggled wildly, a loose wire snapped off and laced around her face, lashing her eye. It was hours before she was found by the park Rangers. Tired, wounded and dehydrated she didn't fight.

Her other eye would be Crimson red for contrast.

Why She is Blind: Camille is a sweet girl. She always wants to help others. One day she stumbled upon a struggling buck caught in a barb wire fence. She approached him carefully, and reached him. She helped untangle him, but when he finally got out there was still one strand wrapped around his leg. Camille bit at it with her teeth, and it broke, and one end came back at her, catching her eye. Her other eye is a soft light green.

Why She is Blind: When Zeverae was three, she was bought for a high price due to her beauty and uniqueness. Her new owner planned on showing her under harness, pulling a light carriage, but he was a cruel man who did not understand equines like her previous owners and mistreated her. Zeverae was frightened of this strange object suddenly strapped behind her, and she ran as fast as she could trying to get away from it. As much as she tried though, she could not escape the noisy, rattling beast and in her craze she ran into the rusty barbed wire fence that surrounded the yard where she was being trained. Her left eye was badly damaged and bleeding and she was deemed useless by her cruel owner. He sent her to a sale to get rid of her and she was bought for a low price by a young couple who felt sorry for the malnourished young equid with the injured eye. Although she looked insignificant and hopeless at first glance, looking into her good eye - violet purple in colour - they saw life and spirit. After gaining her trust, they treated her eye and prevented infection, though unfortunately her sight in that eye could not be saved.

Why She is Blind: Battle Hope was born during a great war. Her family and their bloodline had been raised to be brave and stand loyal in the face of war. When one started, they were sent as the cavalrys steeds. The mare that bore Hope was pregnant but had never been checked by the soldiers. So she was shipped off as well. It was during the heat of the battle, many months later, that the mare went into later. She was a pack horse, stuck in barbwire. The soldiers had no choose but to leave her, as the enemy was hot on their heels. Since the air was poisoned with gas and lead dust, the little foal was born with a deficiency. She was born partialy blind in one eye. The other glittered a soft baby blue. The two made it out safely when an enemy took them in.He named the young foal Battle Hope, since the sight of such a fragile being surviving the unforgivable.landscape brought hope to the men.

When Nike was a small filly, she never played with the other fillies, always the colts. They had more fun than the fillies did. And every day, when the dawn was just breaking, Nike and her colt friends would sneak out and play near the barbwire fence and despite the warnings of their mothers. They raced each other along the fence. They didn't care about the danger, after all, there is no such thing as danger when your careful, right?

The morning of Nike's accident, it was cold and drizzly. It was Nike's turn to race. It was pouring hard now, and the grass was slick with mud and rain, but Nike was still determined. When one of the colts gave the signal, Nike sped off, but she was going too fast. She was going at such a speed that when she tried to make the turn, she slipped and landed face first on the barbwire. The barbs pierced her eye, and Nike's world went black.

It took many months for Nike to recover from her incident. Both physically and mentally. Nike is determined to run again, and she's getting back up on her feet. She's living up to her name now, being victorious over the challenges of being a half blind mare.

Why She is Blind:I take you back to when this spirited mare was at the age of eight months. She happened to wonder too far away from her mother why exploring. A couple of cowboys had stumbled upon her. Intrigued by the filly the two captured her. They took her back to their ranch and let her out in the pasture. Whiskey bolted as fast and far as she could. Blinded by fear she missed that there was barbwire caging her in. WHAM! She ran right into it. It didn't help when she wrestled around kicking and squirming trying to set her self free. By the time the cowboys could get to her the barbwire had done it's damage. It had severely cut up her body and had manged to reach one of her eyes cutting it up badly. They couldn't do anything to save her vision in the eye. Now today one dark chestnut brow and a foggy misty eye peer at you.

Why She is Blind: Azalea will always and forever be afraid of people. 2 years ago, she wasn't. 2 years ago, she was even curious about them. One day, while grazing with a group of friends, the equids heard heart-wrenching screeches coming from a nearby farmland. When nobody else wanted to check it out, Azalea went off on her own. Her friends herded after her, worried for their friend, but stopped way behind when they saw what was making the noise. Azalea had found a human boy with his leg tangled in a weave of loose barbwire. A small dog next to him stared helplessly, whining. Azalea crept closer, and as soon as the boy noticed her, he stopped screaming. He was just a young colt of a human, Azalea though, slowly coming closer. When she got within a few feet of him, she could see tears coming down his face. He started struggling harder, as if he was afraid of her, trying in vain to escape the steel wire. She looked deeply into his blue eyes with her red-brown ones, trying to tell him to calm down. The little dog barked loudly, a useless bystander. She came closer still, inclining her head to his. "I'm trying to help you," she knickered. This seemed to scare the boy even more. Azalea watched his hand as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a black stick. He pressed the top, then there was spitting pain in her right eye... and Azalea could never see out it again after that. She'd had such a bad reaction to whatever the human had sprayed her with, her eye had clouded over to a white-blue. Maybe if her irises hadn't had so much red in them, Azalea always thought, the boy wouldn't have been so scared. But what's done was done, and she would never trust a human again, ashamed of being so naive before.

Oak was walking down a path she had found a while back when she was a foal, trotting down she noticed a farmer, doing his own buisness. She got a bit curious and went over to him, sniffing him from a small distance away, so she wouldn't get caught or hurt by him if he did turn around to see her. When he turned around to see her he stood up, startling and making her run. She looked back to him when she was running to make sure he didn't come after her, when she looked back there seemed to be a spiked fence? She looked back again, thinking she could just jump over it, but instead, she rammed into it. Her eye had been punctured by the wired fence, making her halfly blind and unable to see in that eye. Her eye bleeding, she went back to her group. She stayed quiet even though they were worried and kept asking her why, and how it had happened. She never told them what had happened, only because it embarrassed her.
