[b]Scotomophobia:[/b] The fear of blindness. The plumerian would much rather go deaf than blind! He relies on his vision the most out of his senses, and would be so lost and hopeless without it.

[b]Merinthophobia:[/b] The fear of being bound. Immobilization is torturous for Wallace. It is hard for him to think.of what he’d do in such a siruation, inable to do anything!

[b]Taphephobia:[/b] The fear if being buried alive. He’s had nightmares about being trapped in a coffin underground for as long as he can remember! The visions of scratching at the lid until his paws bled haunts him.

[b]Nyctophobia:[/b] The fear of the dark. He refuses to go out at night, and always hurries home before sunset. Why? He’s afraid of the dark. There’s things he can’t see. He deems this as childish, but it’s very serious.

[b]Tropophobia:[/b] The fear of moving or making changes. Change is very intimidating, and the unknown is a force Wallace believes is to be reckoned with. Doubt is crippling.[/list]

[list]∅ Wallace doesn't seem to like books all that much,
because he always had difficulty reading them as easily
as some people. He had an annoying friend once that
would hit him over the head with books a lot and tease

And in the bath, you're sitting in your own filth,

[list]Wallace's mother was an immigrant from Africa, and his father a baker from New York. They were named Chinasa Jalloh and Ethan Smith. It was almost impossible for Chinasa to find a job because of the racism against blacks, but Ethan hired her into his bakery.
The two of them fell in love, and shortly after marriage had a single child (Wallace). It was extremely difficult to support the family, what with the bakery going out of business... so they abandoned their son as a ten-year-old to live on the streets. It's unknown what happened to his parents, but he really doubts that they were financially secure, even after abandoning him and lifting the burden. They could be dead for all he knows.[/list]

[b]Childhood:[/b]
[list]As an orphan, he was wary of orphanages. He knew that most of them didn't treat the children very well. However, the streets of New York were just as dangerous if you were on your own with nobody to look after you.
So he stopped strangers on the street, begging them to take him in. All of them ignored him and just walked past, or they got angry. Well, except one man. He said he would provide a place to live for the boy under some certain conditions, which were: He must pay two thirds of the rent and certain bills, feed himself, and stay out of his way.
He later introduced himself as Tyler. Wallace never learned too much about him... he was hardly ever at his apartment, and when he was, it was at night when he was asleep. The place wasn't the best... power outages and water shut-offs were frequent. There was a mouse problem (Wallace even resorted to eating a few that he could catch), and some of the carpets were moldy from water damage. But it was better than nothing. He was grateful.
One fateful day, Wallace met a boy named Sonoran. He wasn't from New York, and he found his accent interesting. He wasn't bad looking, either! But then, Tyler caught him. He overheard them talking, and listened in. After they said their goodbyes, Wallace went home. But when he opened the door...Tyler was standing right by the door. This startled Wallace, because he almost never saw the other man at all.
In short, the conversation went badly, and ended up with him throwing him out to be on his own on the streets again. [/list]

[b]Recently:[/b]
[list]Ever since he'd been kicked out, he's had to resort to stealing things from time to time. Normally, he'd sell the things he stole, but on rare occasions he'd keep them if he really needed them. Having the items with him were sources of guilt, and he often felt bad just by feeling the weight of an object in his pocket.
In the night, he was thieving again. He'd decided to make his next plunder at an old antique store, because a glittering candelabra caught his eye through the window.
Wallace slipped inside and got his paws on it, and managed to set off the alarm that was the dog tied to a table in there. It was a large breed, so it scared him so badly he knocked over plenty of items before finally finding his way out. He had run so hard his sides ached. So, a rest stop was necessary. He leaned against the wall of a building, throat burning as he fought to regain his breath. He was so distracted with his fatigue, that when he set the candelabra down, he hadn't noticed buttons on the side had been pushed.
And odd tug came from somewhere behind his navel, and a large pressure bore down on his head until it all finally stopped. Once he opened his eyes, he noticed something was different.
He was no longer in the 1960s. He was in the future.[/list][/size][/list]

[list]Wallace can barely remember these two with concentration. The memories are vague and fuzzy. He can barely remember their faces, and this upsets him a little, even if he's mad that they just dropped him. [/list]
[b]Tyler Bicker:[/b]
[list]You would assume that he was a fatherly figure to him, but you couldn't be more wrong. Their relationship wasn't much of anything, really. Wallace ever saw him at all, and knew nothing about him. He only knew that his name was Tyler, and that he was the man that was kind enough to house him.
Well, until he was sixteen. He's very homophobic, and kicked him out as soon as he found out that Wallace was gay. This impacted him, and made him shy back into the closet with his sexuality.[/list]
[b]Sonoran Arizonac:[/b]
[list]She and Wallace had very brief contact. Soro was only in New York for a [i]very[/i] short period of time (Wallace doesn't know why, so he just assumed it was a vacation), and in that time... things got a little messy for the poor boy. He didn't know at the time what bad attention he would get for it, so he was flirting with her.
Sonoran is a DMAB (designated male at birth) and transitioned only recently. When she was in New York, she hadn't yet, so Wallace viewed her as a boy.

[list]This is probably well known by now, but Wallace doesn't have much money. He works himself to near death almost everyday, and will do anything to scrape up an extra penny. Imagine how much three thousand dollars is worth to him. Imagine how Wallace's face would look if he saw a 'WANTED' poster for a criminal, with a bounty that much. Do you see him with the look of a child on Christmas morning? Good. because that's exactly what it was like.
Yeah, he saw a poster. He immediately pulled it down and stashed it away. There was no way he was passing up this opportunity! He wouldn't actually spend hours searching for this criminal, but he'd most definitely keep his eyes peeled. But he hardly needed to even take the poster down. Because Akatora the $3,000 dollar criminal nearly flattened him like a steam roller.

[list]I first saw this plumerian on a stream, right when I was thinking about entering another "impress me" contest. I didn't find any designs that really caught my attention, but this one did. I'd been waiting to use some ideas I had for awhile, especially the chimney sweep thing.
I wasn't expecting to get as attached and determined to win this character as much as I did. It sort of just... happened. The further I got with Wallace's character, the more I wanted to have him. It was so much fun working on his form, and am glad I came across this design and entered. He's a unique character, and I'd love owning him. I'd give him plenty of attention.
