What is one DNA related flaw in this design?
the tail feathers lack the nucleotides that would cause the double helix structure? ( i don't think there's an actual mutation that could happen with that so i'm not sure what you're looking for omg )

It has a "deletion mutation" where certain base pairs are detached from their pairs causing damage to the dna sequence?

Non-coding DNA or junk DNA?

There was an extension error during the DNA polymerases process in the feathers at the base of the tail feathers.

        The right crossover on the top feather on the butt doesn't end?

The chromosome on the tail feather is suffering a deletion error, causing a mutation.

Haha, I know nothing about DNA, but is it how on the top back feather the bottom thing of the DNA just breaks off and then continues? Like it's missing a bit?

    okay, last hint

    you're all close but your wording is off.

    to win, you have to specify what the term for that missing part is called {I'm not looking for the conditions caused by an elimination of sorts, but just the one word term used for that case where part of the chromosome is missing.}

    some of you have been so close to each and to the right answer that I have to be extremely picky, I'm sorry. quq;
