- Breeding between Rukmi in the wild happens most commonly in the warmer months due to an old wives tale that leads most to believe that their kits will be stronger if they are born in the warmer months. However it is not uncommon for them to breed in the colder months either. Kits are blind for the first week of their birth and are dependent on their parent(s) to care for them in every way. They learn to walk on all fours as their eyes open and they learn simple social behaviors from their parent(s), family members, and pack mates. Slowly the kits will become more curious, start to eat meat with their parents, and stumble around on their hind legs as they learn very simple crafts from what their parents can teach them. Some kits do have more talent than their parents and naturally pass their parents abilities as they grow more and more independent. Young Rukami do not believe in elder Rukami having unnatural powers and are incapable of having powers even if their parents descend from power.
Rukami do not need to be mated to breed but if a Rukami is mated the father will become extremely possessive of both mother and his kits, it is entirely his job to keep his family alive till the mother is able to take care of herself again then both parents raise their kits. While if Rukami met at the breeding grounds it will be up to each specific Rukami as to how the kits are raised, how the mother it taken care of or if the father is just to be a downer for a same sex couple.
While heterosexual couples/mates are more productive a Rukami being any number of sexualities is not unheard of and widely excepted by most tribes and packs.

- Kits markings are a combination of their parents markings and colorings, some colors and markings are more dominant than others while others are recessive. The kits are also likely to have their parents hair or other mutations, their items can change with them as they age though and pups can not make their own items however their parents and elders can gift them items and trinkets.
Older Rukami are often found in mating pairs. They take many years to settle on the right partner. Kits are born one at a time, raised until they can fend for themselves, and are promptly kicked out to make way for new young. Females can have several offspring in their lifetimes. Both females and male are known to hold territories, but typically females are more nomadic as they search for males with the largest and most bountiful properties. Males can choose to wander and not hold territories, and sometimes groups of Rukami can live together, whether wandering or holding a territory.
Rukami can live for centuries, usually longer than human life spans. They can be any sexuality, but only male and female pairs can have young. Many times same-gender parents search for abandoned cubs and raise them as their own, they also can be found in the breeding ground looking for a male or female Rukami to help complete their family.
