Favorite thing about summer (up to 300 words):
It's not as horrible as many think it to be. I quiet like the summer heat. The way the warm, dry air blows through my fur, though the occasional bee or wasp it blows my way it not something I find "fun". Between you and me? They terrify me. The heat makes me feel warm; makes me feel alive. It's not often I feel as alive or as energetic as I do when the sun and heat are around me, filling me. You see, I tend to suffer from anxiety, sometimes depression, and being around others, mostly crowds both big and small, tends to trigger it. Most of my year is spent alone, avoiding everything.

Verano, pronounced veer - ah - no. Verano's name means 'summertime' in Spanish. I chose this name, because it combines my two favorite things. Summertime, {my favorite time of year}, and Spanish {my favorite language, which I'm taking classes on}.

Verano's favorite part of summer is the parties, because of how it makes him feel so alive. When he's dancing, he can feel everyone's bodies sway with him to the same song. The feeling that everyone's connected, no matter how different they are. The heat of so many bodies packed under a room, all feeling their best as they dance to the upbeat songs usually played at parties. Verano has also met a lot of his friends at the parties he goes to. Even with how outgoing he is, he usually can't make any friends at school with common interests, which is why he loves summer break so much. On summer break, he can party until dawn and not have to worry about turning in homework, or assignments the next morning. This does lead him to being a bit of an insomniac when there is no party going on, but he's trying to break that habit. The only time he usually resents a party, is when the cops get called. He's had to hop out a back window one to many times in his life, and he honestly hates when the party comes to a screeching halt. His favorite parties are the ones that last all night, but the cops being called is a very large drag to having fun that night. Other than that, Verano is very likely to be found wandering the streets on dull nights, looking for any party or upbeat - gathering to have fun in.

Favorite thing about summer: Remi adores to just lay back in a meadow full of grass and flowers and watch as the stars tinkle. She prefers warm nights, especially on a full moon. Remi often thinks deeper thoughts than a lot of others in this time. Due to her very observant gaze, she notices pictures in the sky, constellations there called. She recently picked up a book about them from her favorite book shop and has been obsessing over it ever since.

Name: Kurai, meaning dark in color.
Gender: male
Favorite thing about summer (251 words): Kurai loves summer, because summertime is the time when he can go off to camp. Rai doesn't love camp for the actual camping, though, but more for everything else! His camp-friends, for example. They may not live near him, and may not even go to his school or be in his grade. However, he gets to spend time with them at camp! Once a year he sees them, and he never regrets that little time spent together. But there's more to camp then just chatting with friends; there's also learning, and games, and contests, and cooking. All the fun stuff doesn't only happen in the daytime, either! Camp has an entire second version, which would be the Nighttime Version. From s'mores around the campfire, to playing with sparklers in an open field. From catching fireflies studying bugs in their natural habitat, to board-games with kias you've never even met! Even though camp activities may sound rather childish or lame, Kurai loves it anyway, because practically anything is fun with friends. And that's exactly who everyone is, a friend, because by the end of camp, you know and love everybody! There's no drama or cliques or exclusion - just fun. And every single year he wishes that camp would never end, but everything good must come to an end eventually, and in Rai's case, simply until next summer! Sure, you can adventure in forests and battle along streams by yourself, but nothing quite gets your blood pumping and imagination flowing like camp does.
