Cicada's Summer Fun:
For Cicada the summers breezes by like the wind. It hardly ever lasts as long as he wants it to but it’s alright with him as long as he gets to go wild during that one day every year, his birthday.
Due to him being a summer baby he has a lot more options of where he can explore during his birthday but his choice of place has yet to change since his very first birthday. Yes, every year Cicada would ask to visit the amusement park and it would always be the amusement park called Coney Island.
He’d rise up early in the morning to get to the park right at the time they open so he can have the whole day to explore. He’d go after the fishing games first before heading off to the roller coasters. His next mission would be to stuff as much cotton candy, popcorn, corn dogs, or other amusement park foods as he can stomach. Since any other days he would not be allowed to do so. That’s why he made it his mission to take as much advantage of the day as he can.
The ride he would always leave for last, the Ferris Wheel. The slow rotunda, a cycle like the days and nights of summer itself. And at the pinnacle of the ride, the pinnacle of the evening, he would joyfully gaze out at the lights of park that illuminated the night. The fireworks blasting off and painting the sky with colorful stars, some fleeting and some remaining for a few extra moments flickering. By the time he would have to return home, he would yearn to return to his favorite summer place, but always knew he could look forward to his next birthday.
