What is a Kiamara?
A kiamara is a wolf/lion-like creature. They have long, fluffy manes on the top of their heads, running down between their shoulders. They all have spots on their bodies- a trait in which will never be bred out of their DNA. They also have feathers- every Kiamara is given feathers when they reach the age of 2 years old. Their diet consists of fruit as well as meat- they prey on similar creatures that wolves would. Kiamara can be very shy before they get to know you. Can you win a Kiamara's heart?

This kia is based off of a bowl of Shaved Ice, which was the most common treat we encountered in Hawai'i

Favorite summer treat and why;; Vanilla soda flavoured shaved-ice. He likes the flavour because it's sweet and simple. The fact that it's frozen makes it great for a blistering hot summer day and it's easy for him to make. Plus, once it's somewhat melted you can drink it with a straw -a rainbow one preferably.

Living on the beach can really change a person, and it definitely changed August's life. Upon moving to the beach from his little city apartment, he was quite fluffy. The first day August went to the beach, he saw all these male Kiamara's with amazing rock hard stomachs with females constantly staring. He began to feel down about being bigger, but soon decided to change this. He was determined. Before every workout, he always has these chocolate drinks known as Protein drinks. Something clicked when he took the first sip. Now August is a rock hard stomach kiamara and tends to get looks all the time.
"Protein shakes are my favorite summer treat. They really get me pumped for a great workout. Without them, I would still be the lazy kiamara I was when I moved down here. They gave me the energy to go, and they still do before every single workout.
Some may ask, "How are these made?" Simply take 1 1/2 cups of water, 1 tsp pure cocoa powder, 2 tbsp low fat sour cream, 2 scoops chocolate whey protein, 2 tsp flaxseed oil, sweetener to taste. Finally, put it into a protein shaker bottle and shake. Once you believe you are done shaking, just drink and enjoy!

Maka's favorite summertime snack is the pistachio-green slush known as a power smoothie. The smoothies are a smooth blend of ice, fruit and vegetable purees, and one banana, for a sweet kick of flavour. These are most enjoyable in the heat of summer after being chilled in a cooler, where the smoothies are thick and cold, but still easy to slurp up. Maka loves these power smoothies above any other treat because the kale, blueberries, and acai berries in the purees, among other ingredients, provide a super-powered drink for both a jolt of energy and rock-hard abs. Since Maka's a little nut, obsessed with health and fitness, these green smoothies are the perfect snack for him.

Strawberry Popsicle, as for why she loves them, well she has a nice little story to go with that, when she was younger she had a ice cream, and well it fell off the cone, when a strange saw her crying he brought her to the ice cream vender but they had none of that one left so he bought her a straw berry flavored one, which she had never had before, when she tried it she fell in love with it, when she turned to say thanks the stranger was no where to be found, and she soon forgot about it, but it is still their in the back of her mind and the flavor of them reminds her of that day.

There are a LOT of cool summer treats out there. But Paz only has 1. Her favorite summer treat of all time is the Potato Tornado! She likes this treat because.... Well why not! Its a potato in a tornado form! She usually finds them at fairs or carnivals! She really enjoys watching them be made and her favorite part is seasoning them! She likes to put a lot of salt, pepper, and other seasonings then walking around eating them!
