why is that element special to this kiamara;;

Phosphoros is extremely fascinated by arsenic, and for no other reason but the wide variety of things it was found in during the Victorian era. It was put into sugar to make the sweet ingredient look whiter, and was mixed with vinegar and chalk and then eaten by women to improve the complexion of their faces, making their skin paler to show they did not work in the fields.

Besides, the beginning of the word 'arsenic' can be considered inappropriate, and it makes him giggle.

Why is it so special?
The element Mercury is special to Maeve as it basically resembles her. Maeve hates the world and everyone in it, and Mercury is poisonous and could kill someone or cause destruction. Yes, not very cheery, but Maeve is cheery, so that explains it. Why is she not cheery? Well, when she was a kit, her father worked in a lab, she loved him and he loved her as she had no mother. He was doing a experiment with Mercury and something happened, which was the result of his death... So no wonder Maeve is angry at the world, death was in her life at a young age.

why is that element special to this kiamara;; Mercury is a conductor of heat and electricity. Ransom adores that fact, since her pelt is warm colored like a sunset. She loves the heat and something that's capable of conducting warmth resonates with her and strikes her fancy. Mercury is used to tell the temperature and is used in lamps to produce light. Nothing amazes Ransom more than the versatility of this unique element, and so she's always been fascinated with it and studies it's different uses! She often speaks fondly of it's heat-producing capabilities. It reminds her of herself, and thus it has become a favorite of hers.
