Having just signed up for higher classes, I won't be on here as much due to
homework. If you want to contact me though, you can send a message and
I should reply relatively soon.

RicecatkyoProud owner of Sunni and Isaac, and hoping this boy could be my last adopted plumerian <3 uwuName;;
Kaden Lance (commonly goes by Kade)
Origin && Meaning: There are several different origins and meanings to both Kaden and Kade, but the one I find the most fitting is this: Origin is from the Welsh, a phrase meaning 'spirit of the battle'.
Why I chose this name: In real life, I actually had a friend who was blind named Cade. His personality was not like Kade's, but he was quite an inspiration to me because he was such an optimistic person despite his handicap. I hope that over time Kade might be able to evolve into someone with the same open spirit as my friend had, not in the sense that his entire personality changes, but more so that he will learn that life can still be a beautiful experience even if he can not see it. Gender;; Kade is a
male.
5-word personality;;
Contentious -
'causing or likely to cause an argument.'Bitter - 'angry, hurt, or resentful because of one's bad experiences or a sense of unjust treatment.'
Fatalistic - 'the acceptance of all things and events as inevitable; submission to fate.
Hesitant - 'tentative, unsure, or slow in acting or speaking.'
Lonesome - ' solitary or lonely.'
ONE extra;;
// C O L L I S I O N //This story involves my plumerian Sunni, who I think would make an excellent older sibling for Kade due to both the personality I've set for him and their apperences. I see it as kind of a day and night relationship, I hope you enjoy this story! Everything started out painfully normal, following my daily schedule of getting out of bed, throwing on a pair of boxers, and doing absolutely nothing until it was time for pottery and sculpture class.
Feeling my way around the room wasn't a problem anymore, I'd already memorized the paths to and from the essential places in the apartment I lived in. Propping myself up in my rolling computer chair, my hand searched for the round button lingering near a screen I could only assume to be there. Pushing down, a familiar voice burst through the speakers.
"Good evening. How may I help you this morning?" the robotic voice asked, using the same voice it always did and the same greeting morning after morning.
"Check emails" I replied in a clear voice, knowing even the slightest mumbled would screw up everything and I'd have to repeat what I'd said 18 times before it got it right.
"Ok, checking emails...You have 3 new messages. Message one, from Clara Matthews"
Eh, I'll listen to that one latter.
"Message two, from Sonny Lance"
Dad...oh yea, something about the transactions and stuff. No need to hear that one.
"Message three, from Sunni Lance"
I felt my own shock aglow on my face, not believing what I'd just heard.
Sunni?
"Play message three" I said, figuring I must be hearing things.
"Ok, reading message three...
Dear Kaden,
Hello, this is Sunni, your older sister. I know my message may come as a surprise to you, but my reasoning for this email is of pure intentions. To be straight forward, I want to see you and talk to you. I have your address, and from the book keeper up front I've learned that there is a small cafe attached to your complex. If you would like to meet me there, I would be grateful to the fullest extent. Please, consider it at least.
From,
Sunni
Now, to explain why this shook me so much, I'll have to bore you a bit with some family history.
You see, my 'family' had never been a real family. My parents are a couple of rich fokes who could easily be considered workaholics, pretty much running off and leaving me in some high advanced facilities for handicaps and crap. I was raised by numerous nurses and doctors, but the only time I ever heard from my parents was on holidays if they felt like calling. Sunni, my older sister, was shipped off to our dads mom and I hadn't seen her in years. 6 years in fact, which might sound like a shock to some but we were practically strangers all the few times we did talk. We share blood, but not any type of bond.
So now you can kinda see why I'm so shocked over it. Like, what could she possibly want to talk to me for right?
Leaning back in my chair I though hard over what I'd do, torn because my own curiosity and the fact that this was all to strange to just go for it. What if there was an alternate motive involved? No one just pops up out of no where after 6 years of silence right?
Trust me, it took me a good thirty minutes to make up my mind. Finally,
I came to the conclusion that I might as well see what she wants. It must be fate that she was here, and who was he to deny something like that?
Dragging myself from my seat, I could only wonder just what the heck was going to happen once I got downstairs.
--
Walking slowly, I pushed through the door that would lead me to the patio area outside. My foot caught on an object I obviously couldn't see, causing me to stumble forward with a slur of curses falling out of my mouth. What idiot leaves crap like this laying around a blind facility?!
Letting out an aggravated sigh, I began to click my tongue as I slowly approached the tables of the cafe we were suppose to meet at. Before you ask, clicking my tongue is actually a way to use echolocation, and helps me determine where the heck I am. Canes make me uncomfortable and snapping my fingers makes me feel like an idiot so this is what I do to 'feel' my way through places, it tends to draw less attention than things like stomping and pet guides. The less I'm noticed, the better.
"Kade?"
The voice sounds familiar, but something has changed. Slowly turning around, I reach my hand out and motion for the speaker to move closer," Sunni, I'm guessing?" since that should be the only person calling out my name around here.
Hands press against mine gently, letting me know I've been found. Moving up a bit I lightly caressed the face between my paws, feeling the shape of the person in front of me. It was a habit I'd had since I was small, you'd be surprised how much you can tell about a person from their features. I could pick out out a plumerian on cheek bones alone probably.
"Yea, it's me. Gosh, you've gotten so big..."
"Your voice has changed a lot."
"Yea, puberty and all that" she said, and I could tell by her tone how relieved she was that I wasn't all stiff and stern with her. In all honest I didn't know what to think or say. I mean, what do you even tell someone you haven't spoken to in 6 years?
"Let's talk a seat, shall we?" taking one of my hands she guided me towards what must have been a table, though I didn't need her to guide me I didn't pitch a fit for the time being. She couldn't have known ahead of time that I could move on my own quite well, so I guess it would have been pretty jerkish to snatch my hand away from her.
I heard the screech of the chair raking against the ground as she pulled it out for me, and with a small thanks I sat down. When I knew she had taken her seat from across me, I stared forward and waited patiently for her to tell me just why she had called me here.
"So, I know it must seem strange of me to contact you after so long."
"6 years."
"Yea, 6 years. So...gosh where to begin? What have you been up to? How have you been?"
"Not much, I'm fine."
"Ah I see, nice to know. So I guess you're wondering what I called you out here for after so long of not talking."
"6 years."
"Right, 6 years. But I've been doing a lot of sound searching lately and I just had to see you. I feel as if I've been an awful sibling all this time, and I don't want us to be like this; never knowing each other. Could you ever forgive me, Kade? I know this is all coming out so fast but I've just wanted so long to come forward but I was afraid you'd be mad and-"
"Oh, I'm mad alright" I said, and I could feel the tingly of shock rolling through the air between us.
"Did you honestly think I would just open up my arms to you and let you in? Sunni, it's been 6 years. You waited that long to come and see me? Are you kidding me right now?"
Honestly, what the heck was she expecting? I had been left in this place to rot since I was 4 years old, all because of this blindness I was abandoned to fulfill everyone else's idea of 'what's best for me'.
"You have no idea what it's like to be blind, you have no clue what it's like to be abandoned by the people who should have been there for me the most."
"Yes I do" Sunni shot back in a hurried voice, and I could already tell this was going to end badly.
"Our parents didn't exactly stick around for me either, and I've been blind for a long time to you know, just in a different way."
"Oooooo do enlighten me on this 'blindness' of yours."
"Even those who can see are blind."
It took all i had not to shout at her, not to scream in frustration and just let loose with everything I'd wanted to say about our 'family'. Clamping my jaw shut and forbidding myself to speak was the only action that could hold me back right now.
Anger started to pulse though me, frustrated at myself for not having any words to throw back into her face that wouldn't ruin us forever.
She knew nothing, she had no right to walk in here and pretend as if should ever imagine what it was like to be handicapped like this. Darkness, nothing but endless walls of black to stare lonely back at me. This curse had devoured my vision and my hope all in one ugly disablement, and yet she thought even those who were free to gaze where they wanted were blind as well?
"Kade" her voice came in whispers, pleading for an attention and understanding that I wasn't ready to provide.
"Kade, I know that you're bitter. No one blames you for that, but try to hear me out. I use to be blind to, but not like you. My blindness was one that was in my heart, and it made me into someone I never want to be again. I've felt it, the darkness that can grow inside you and eat up every part of who you are. Kade, no one can change the fact that you can't see. It must have been so painful to be alone, I was alone to. Both of us, we've always been alone, haven't we?"
I felt her hands on my face and I flinched, but didn't move away. I felt something hot against my eyes, tears probably, and I felt like a complete idiot for crying over this.
"Hey, it's ok" she said, an attempt to comfort me I'm sure, but all in vain when I heard her voice start to crack as well.
The chair screeched across from me and soon I found myself in a pair of arms that could have only been Sunni's, crashing me against her chest in a tight embrace.
We sat there in silence, her holding me and me wondering why I was letting her do this. I couldn't think straight, there was no way for me to push her away. After awhile I heard her speak, soft and flooded with a vulnerability I hadn't expected to hear from her.
"Hey Kade, let's be alone together from now on ok?"
I was quiet for a moment, blinking slowly as I tried to search for a response. Without realizing it, my arms found themselves wrapped around her and my sightless eyes closing.
"I've never been held like this before."
"How does it feel?" she sniffed, nuzzling deeper into my fur.
Letting out a small sigh, I rested my head against her shoulder and let the heat of our bodied merge together until it felt as if we were simply one lonely existence.
"It's warm."
Suddenly, I'd found the small patch of sunlight in the darkness of my life. Not only did I have a sister, but now I had a friend.
