shy when you first meet her. Aoide loves music and even the
hint of a tune will make her dance. Because of Aoide's
advanced hearing, she will often dance to far-away songs
that many people can't even hear. Lots of people think she's weird.

Before she came under the protection of a kind musician who
was playing at the Sydney Opera House, Aoide was homeless.
She wandered the streets of Sydney, Australia, hoping to
find food- or even better- a home.
Now, Aoide lives in America with her kind musician. They
are very happy together. The musician takes Aoide with her
whenever she goes to play at a concert. Because of this, Aoide
has seen many great music halls all over the world.

♪ ♫ Story ♫ ♪
Aoide was awoken from her peaceful sleep by a sudden crack of thunder. She let out a shriek of shock when large, cold rain drops began to pelt her fur. Aoide dashed for cover under a somewhat large cardboard box. "No no nooooo!" She moaned, and started to shiver. "This is terrible!" Aoide huffed in frustration. All she wanted was a restful nap in some place warm and dry. Was that too much to ask? Guess so. The box she was hiding in was starting to get all wet. Aoide guessed she should go and find some place indoors.
Aoide dashed through the streets, trying to avoid the cold rain. Eventually she dashed into a tall, promising building. She had just cuddled up next to a planter when-
"Hey! Get out of here, you stupid cat!" A man yelled from behind a desk. He looked rather angry.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Aoide whimpered as she scampered out of the building, but she doubted the man had heard her. Aoide sighed as the door of the building closed behind her. Disheartened, Aoide walked for what seemed a long time in the rain. Slowly but surely, a wonderful noise grew louder and louder in Aoide's ears as she walked along the sidewalk. Finally, Aoide perked up. She had to find out what that noise was and where it was coming from. Aoide started to run as fast as she could. Eventually she came to find a large building. It looked like bent pieces of paper folded over each other. Aoide walked into the large building, towards where the noise was loudest. She peeked around a bend to see lots of people holding all sorts of things made of wood. These wooden pieces of art was where the noise was coming from! Aoide yawned. She wanted to watched the people make the noise, but she also needed to sleep. Aoide sadly walked away from the people making the noise to find a warm place to sleep.
It didn't take long for her to find a nice, soft, warm place to sleep. It looked as if this was a bed made just for Aoide. Aoide crawled into the "bed" and quickly fell asleep to the sound of that wonderful noise.
Aoide awoke some time later to see a human looking at her. She scrambled to her paws and made a defensive hiss at the person.
"Hey, hey." The person said calmly. "It's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you, but you can't sleep in my cello case anymore."
Aoide slowly came out of her defensive position.
"C-chello?" She asked.
"Yeah." The person said. "It's a musical instrument. You were sleeping where I store it."
So the things the people were holding were called intruments, and the noise they made must be called music.
"C- can you teach me to use the chello?" Aoide asked hopefully. The person gave her a quizzical look.
"I'm not sure." The person said. "It takes a while to learn an instrument. Even longer to become talented at it." The person paused, thinking.
"What's your name?" The person asked.
"I'm Aoide." Aoide stated.
"And I bet you don't have a place to live, do you?" The person asked again. "Otherwise I'd bet you'd be at home now."
Aoide nodded.
"Well... If you'd like, you could come to live with me." The person suggested. "And I could try to teach you all the instruments I know."
"Really?" Aoide asked, exited. The person nodded.
"Yep!" The person said. "I'll teach to to be a musician, like me."
Aoide smiled. So the people who made music were called musicians. She wanted to be a musician.

Name:
Mark
Gender:
Male
Personality:
Mark is a music-obsessed Hazard Cat who doesn't have a care in the world.
He's much happier just resting on the riverbed than he would be if he had
all the money in the world. Mark is very fond of music and loves making
wonderful songs, even if most of the time, his 'songs' are random noises
from various instruments mixed together. His optimism and passion for
the noise he calls music are almost annoying; but he's got a friend in a
young Hazard Cat named Twain. Being a young cat with a birdlike personality,
Twain thoroughly enjoys listening to Mark's chiming and his off-pitch singing.
The little boy even sometimes sneaks up behind Mark, pouncing at him
and making wonderful noise with the wind chime on his tail. Mark doesn't
really know where Twain came from or even whether or not he has parents,
but he loves hanging out with people who don't criticize his 'wonderful music'.

River Bank wrote:Still,
Can you imagine

And we'd tell our bosses
They can do the same
We'll find a big cruise ship,
And buy the whole dang thing!
We'd sail around the world
And go to shore in a dingy
But 'till that dream comes true,
Why don't you grab your bikini?
Fears:
Mark is an illogical boy. Despite loving to make music and thoroughly
enjoying company with one or too people, he has a great fear of being too
cluttered with people and prefers to spend his time with only one companion.
As the saying goes, two's a company, three's a crowd. If surrounded by by too
many at once, Mark will have a genuine panic attack and even find it difficult
to breathe with so many people invading his space. Not that he's stuck up or
anything like that, he simply prefers being in small groups rather than big ones.
Secrets:
Mark is a very open Hazard Cat, and keeps no secrets. Simply ask him what's on
his mind, and he'll be happy to tell you. In fact, he finds people who keep hidden
to be very annoying. He doesn't understand why others can be so secretive.
Sleeping Habits:
He doesn't sleep much, and when he does, he often finds himself snoring into the
bamboo flute around his neck. Any logical person would find themselves annoyed
by this, but Twain doesn't show any signs of annoyance. Sometimes, he instinctively
tries to join in on the music by attacking the wind chime on his tail or screeching like
a bird.. Which, surprisingly, Mark doesn't seem to mind.
How He Relaxes:
Mark relaxes by taking a nice walk along a river and making music with Twain. Mark
often finds himself walking along a riverbank with Twain at his side. The two are
inseparable, simply being together relaxes them both greatly.
Stressors:
Mark can find himself stressed over many things. His most commonly encountered
stressor is his fear of groups - as it is easy to find other Hazards, despite Mark being
generally nomadic. Other than this, Mark is also stressed greatly by deadlines, pressure,
work, and responsibility.
Pet Peeves:
He doesn't have many pet peeves, as Mark is a very calm and happy person. However,
he is insanely annoyed with people who are secluded and also by people who keep secrets
from him. He is also bothered by people who senselessly harm others; mentally, or physically.

Birth Date:
Mark was born on March twentieth, the first day of spring. This is pretty unsurprising,
considering how wonderfully cheerful both he and the season of spring are.
Time of Birth:
Mark was born in the early morning. Despite the fact that the morning is a generally
unpleasant time, Mark's existence as a happy, upbeat Hazard makes the time pleasant.
Zodiac Sign:
Mark has just barely squeezed himself into the sign of Taurus. Like Mark, a Taurus is
an excellent friend, though has only a few close friends and opposition toward many
acquaintances. They are loyal and patient, but also lazy and materialistic.

THE GOOD AND THE BAD
Likes:
Mark is very fond of instruments, rivers, relaxation, smoothies, friendships, music,
creativity, breakfast foods, and happiness.
Dislikes:
He is not fond of work, deadlines, pressure, rudeness, hostility, seclusion, secrets,
most vegetables, and anything potentially harmful or negative.
Strengths:
Mark is a very good friend who is loyal and will walk 500 miles just to get you a glass
of water, if you ask nicely. He is also very patient and makes for a wonderful
conversationalist, always seeing the bright side of a situation.
Flaws:
Mark is very lazy and dislikes work. He can't stand anything negative and will even have
his day ruined by a hurtful or negative statement. His inability to find deadlines and
pressure tolerable makes him a very bad worker.

MISCELLANEOUS

┏━━━━━━━━━━━━┓
This is Mark's tree. As in,
this is the tree that he
resides in. He lives in
the hole in the base of
the hollowed out tree.
He keeps his instruments
here; and has a small hay
bed which he sleeps in.
┗━━━━━━━━━━━━┛
Talents:
Mark considers himself very talented when it comes to playing instruments like his flute
and the wind chimes on his tail. However, others do not see him this way, and mostly
find his racket to be annoying.
Prized Possessions:
He dearly loves his instruments; both the ones on his person and the ones he keeps at
his home. The instruments he keeps at "home" (his house is basically a very crude
tree house) are obviously less valuable to him than the ones he keeps on his person,
but he still loves them and would probably have a breakdown if they were to vanish.
Special Places:
Mark's favorite place is basically anywhere that he can walk a river. He has traveled the
path of rivers since he was young, so this tradition has become quite important in his life.
If a river is not there to guide him, he considers himself lost.
Special Memories:
Mark's most important memory is most likely the day he found the wind chime on his tail.
He found the chime washed up on a riverbed and covered in mud when he was just a cub.
He washed it off, and when he shook it to dry it off, he was delightfully surprised when it
made a sound. He began inventing "songs" with it, and eventually, his fascination with music
and sounds took off like a rocket.
