Floc:
#103
Floc Name:
Darlel
Backstory:
My most vivid memory was a stormy night,
the first time I'd been to this strange planet.
Although, I do not remember much
of what happened before
that lonely night,
all I know is I fell into a deep, dark place.
I'd spent my time alone and in the dark most of my life.
There wasn't much in the trench I stayed in,
but it felt like home.
Well, the one thing I could remember of it.
I would come up once in a while
to see what the planet had to offer.
The knowledge the strange creatures had was vast,
but I soaked it in just like a sponge.

Floc # ;; He's Number 104.
Name ;; This Floc here is Capitano, translating to 'Captain' in Italian.
Backstory ;; As a young floc, Capitano didn't really have a true key-holder. He was a little reclusive,
preferring to be alone, but wasn't very agitated when around other creatures. The poor little floc
didn't remember where he was from, and washed up on shore one day with absolutely no memories
of his past, even though he didn't have that many. A kind old fisherman had found him, and cared
for him like he would a human child. The fisherman was of Italian origin, and since the little floc
did not remember his name, he received a new one. Capitano.
At that time Capitano was very young, maybe about 9 or 10 years old. Since he was easily influenced
at this young age, he adopted the traits of the Italian fisherman. Brave, bold, hardy, and most of
all, the Italian accent. What he didn't know, was that one day, all these good things were going to
have to come to an end.
The duo were out on yet another fishing trip, about seven years later. By now Capitano had matured
greatly, and as of a few years ago, he was able to go on fishing trips. The little boat was a sturdy one,
and from what he had heard from Luciano(the fisherman), it had survived many storms. Dark clouds
had covered the sky almost instantly, and a storm had started to brew. Luciano had thought nothing
of it, and took his sweet time in rowing back to shore. Wrong choice.
The two were in rather deep waters, and the waves had began to throw them around like a cat would
it's prey. The fisherman commanded Capitano to keep a hold on the boat, but in no time, the little
rowboat overturned. You see, Capitano had been thrown to the side whereas Luciano had been sucked
under the water. The waters continued to churn, causing Capitano to have to 'Abandon Ship', and he
allowed the waves to carry him away.
Later, the rather heartbroken Floc levitated back out to the site of the overturned boat. Pieces of the
boats wooden planks were scattered everywhere, and his friend was nowhere in sight. With his Italian
accented, telepathic voice, Capitano has mentally called out for the one person he had called a friend.
After a while of calling for Luciano aimlessly, he grew weary and was forced to go back to shore. This
ritual continued for a month or so, until Capitano realized it was hopeless.
That's where I came in. Let's just say that I caught him trying to salvage something to eat by fishing
with the glowing lure sprouting from his forehead.

Floc #105
Floc NameSylvestre
BackstoryEver since I was born, all I've known is darkness.
I've been taught that we would rather live in the ignorance that is the darkness, then suffer with knowledge that the day dwellers are burdened with.
Though I never really understood what that meant, that is. Until later in my life.
When I was a child, I was a rather curious. I'd always push my limits and see how far I could swim up until I was caught and punished for what I've done. 'Reckless' and 'Ignorant' they would call me. And I didn't mind it because they were both true. I knew nothing outside of where I lived. And to me that was Ignorance. And as for reckless, I use to take it as a complement, because I use to think that 'reckless' meant that I was brave, and even possibly heroic...
One day, when I was old enough to live on my own. I curiosity rose up once more and I wanted to venture out and see th- the light. Since I had never seen it the only luminescence I would be able to see was the glowing piece of flesh that dangled in front of every ones faces.
So I ventured, and only then did I understand why everyone told us to stay in ignorance.
I will never get your innocents back. Never.
And now that I'm up and out, I can't go back to my home.

Savior of the Sea
Sαρнιяα
(name from the story; Eragon)

Backstory wrote: Saphira was born to a large but dull family. She was the youngest floc in her family but she was different than the others. She was always curious and fascinated by anything new. Saphira being the youngest, and well, odd, to the others, was always bullied by her siblings, especially because she would not eat fish, because she valued their lives. But there was something special about Saphira, and her siblings knew that. She had the most beautiful and most interesting coat, unlike the rest of her family, whom all had dull grey coats, were rude, and to her, just plain boring! One day she just could not take it, and left.
One day, Saphira saw a boat on the surface of the sea. She knew better than to go to it but saw the fish that were in the net, did not know. She helplessly watched as the fish were being dragged up to the boat because she knew it was too late to try and save them, they were already too far. Saddened she went away promising to herself that she would save the other fish from the net.
Later that day, Saphira saw another boat with a net. She though it was already too late but in her shock, the fish in the net were fighting back!! She swam up as fast as she could and once there, surprisingly her fins, turned extremely sharp and and sliced through the net! The fish all swam out and spread the word of what happened. She became known as, Saphira, Savior of the Sea!
