a young bean crept through the bushes, her belly fur brushing the ground as she stalked across the forest floor. shadows of the trees and bushes clouded around her, a few gaps between branches letting the sunlight shine through. suddenly, the bean jumped, extending her paws to leap out, landing with her paws closed around a leaf. "gotcha!" it flicked the leaf into the air with a single paw, watching it float down to the ground. "victory goes to tabby!" tabby picked up the leaf, holding it firmly in her jaws, and carried it home. she was in the woods behind her garden. tabby came to a fence, and with ease, she swiftly jumped up, landing on the top of the fence, then jumping down onto the other side. she landed on all fours, and flicked her tail with satisfaction once she saw her house. tabby crossed the garden, and slipped through the catflap. she walked into the living room and looked around. her brother, wheatley, was sat on the couch. "where's mommy? where's daddy?" tabby asked, leaping onto the arm rest as she spoke. "i don't know," her brother replied. "maybe they're in the kitchen. just a guess." tabby nodded and jumped down, walking into the kitchen. wheatley guessed correctly. her mother was sat at the table, reading. she looked up as she heard tabby walk in. "hello, tabby." shroom greeted her. tabby smiled, and spat out the leaf. "oh, what's this?" her mother said, putting down her book to look down at her daughter. tabby picked up the leaf again, and leaped onto the chair, then the table. tabby dropped the leaf beside shroom's arm and nudged it towards her mother with her muzzle. "i caught it!" she announced, proudly. "all by myself." shroom looked pleased, and stroked her head lightly. "you're so clever." her mother praised her. tabby licked her paw and drew it over her ear, and twitched her nose. "thank you, mommy." tabby scrabbled under her arm and lifted her head up underneath her paw. shroom stroked her, and tabby purred. "you're so cute, my little kitty." tabby made a 'mrr?' sound, and shuffled backwards. she bared her teeth and hissed, tapping her arm with her paw gently. "i'm not cute! i'm fierce!" shroom laughed lightly, smiling. wip
