Monokuro is what is known as a kūdere, appearing as a rather reserved and cool, emotionless pseudodragon when in fact her lack of emotion is a front, a mask used to keep others at arms length. She is actually a very shy, soft and kind girl, in tune with nature and afraid of pretty much everything, including her own shadow. She pretends to be cold to prevent herself from being hurt by others, as though she would never be unkind to any living thing she has been surprised by the cruelty, intentional or not, of others in the past.
Monoku is still relatively young but not as playful as most pseudodragons; she did not have a conventional childhood and even though it was perfectly happy it made her old beyond her years. Behind her mask she does, however, still love to play as if she’s making up for her lack of fun during childhood. She has very little self-worth and is extremely shy, often hiding away from the others when they get too loud or exuberant, though she will simply pass it off as boredom. She is pleasant-mannered, polite and loves to just sit and watch the world go by for hours. Secluded and vaguely lonely, she wishes she was stronger, and more noticeable, as her greatest fears are injury and being forgotten.
Unfortunately her non-verbalness can leave her open to a lot of teasing, and she dearly wishes she was stronger so she could fight back. She holds grudges for a long time and for very petty things but can never act on them, not just because of her lack of strength but also because she is too afraid of being injured as a result. Monoku's notorious for daydreaming, not just because she has a short attention span — a keen artist, she's usually content to stay still and focused for hours at a time — but because she finds it more comforting and familiar than the real world. Both facets of her personality, the reserved kūdere mask and the panicky 'real' her, mean that she can avoid prolonged social contact as it makes her feel extremely awkward — another reason for her daydream world.
Above all else, Monoku loves the sky, specifically the beauty of the stars. No-one ever doubts the personality of a star, they simply acknowledge that they are there, and far greater than any human perception of beauty could ever begin to describe.

Aʙᴏᴜᴛ;;


Monokuro is also different in that she quite often has non-verbal spells, which make her unable to speak. They are frequent, and in fact it's probably more unlikely for her to be able to talk. Her gestures are very expressive and she has a wide range of sounds to convey her intentions, even sometimes signing or writing; but only if she is comfortable around you. If not she is perfectly content to simply stay silent. She thinks it makes her more able to listen to others and appreciate the world around her. Often she can be heard mimicking the sounds of other animals.
