Pet's ID Tag: #34
Name You'd Choose for It: Hallows Raven
Codename/Alias: Raven
Reason for codename: She's very quick and light-footed, does her job so quickly that when people come to investigate, all they see is her shadow as she slips away. It's the name she signs on the notes she leaves.
Gender: Female
Reason You Want It: She's a very beautiful design, her colours go well, though I would never have said that orange and grey go together, and though I wasn't going to adopt a Halloween themed character, even though it's my favourite festival, I think she's too beautiful to not. She seems to have an air of confidence about her in the ref picture, and she really suits the story of the Nighthunter, the story I'm using for her form. I can just imagine her in my head. She'd be a great enemy for my little tracker dog, Kurono, and a fantastic companion for Gyr, my white and grey winged wolf/wolf anthro assassin character.

This is Gyr ^
History/Background/Other:The Strangest is the best, they say,
Work in perfect harmony,
In town, and village, hamlet and city,
The story rings out true.
Down a city street,
Dark as pitch,
Or cold night,
Mist and shadow work as one.
Unseen, unheard, till morning light,
When alarms are raised, and searchers track,
Too late, they have fled, to darkness dear,
Along a street of cobblestone.
No noise reflects their passing,
No person does sense their presence,
But still, they hunt, in the crisp night air,
The night personified.
Yet not Nyx, or Erebus,
Hunters of Night,
The Nighthunters do roam.
A Falcon and a Raven,
In eternal partnership,
It may sound strange,
But the falcon says:
“The Strangest is the best.”
One of Poison, One of Mist,
Could they be any different?
The answer to that,
The Raven says:
“The Strangest is the Best.”
Onyx does shiver at their footsteps,
It’s black heart touched by shadow,
Diamond does sing at their voices,
Whispers in a city wind.
Nyx has blest the shadowed Raven,
Erebus the Falcon swift,
Two of their kind, lost in a maze,
A strange story indeed.
Shadows sing in the forgotten places,
As the two do walk the city streets,
A song that haunts the heart,
And starts with one small line.
“The Strangest is the best.”
The Song of the Nighthunters- Myself
A scream split the still night air and a shadowy figure leapt from a high window.
The figure's short black strapless top had a flap of material sown to the body and the other end tied to the wrist on each side of the body, and they extended their arms, gliding to the next rooftop.
The wolf anthro looked round, her long auburn hair fanning around her, and folded her arms, dropping onto a roof and beginning to run. As she ran she fished a walkie-talkie out of a pocket in her black combats and spoke into it rapidly.
"Job done, Falcon, but enemies in pursuit. Over. "
The walkie-talkie crackled as the reply message reached the anthro.
"Affirmative, Raven. Go feral. I'll meet you soon. Falcon over and out."
The anthro codenamed Raven tucked the walkie-talkie away and seemed to melt, becoming a wolf before taking off, racing away from the scene of the crime.
The young tracker dog growled as she prowled around the apartment the victim had been found in, their was no mistaking the cheeky note stuck to the window.
Sorry guys, it seems I'm too fast for you.
Raven xThe tracker flicked her radio on and sighed. "it's Hallows, sir. She's struck again." She reported, jumping from the window to the next rooftop and pursuing her quarry.
Hallows heard heavy breathing a way off and turned her head, spotting the distinctive white optics of Kurono Fahrenheit Nightowl.
She cursed under her breath as she went anthro again, leaping from the roof and landing silently in a bush, before springing up into a tree, where she hid, holding her breath and hoping the tracker wouldn't look up.
Kurono swerved, following the scent, which led off the roof and landing with a thud in the same bush. Getting to her feet, she turned her heat sensors on and scanned the shrubbery, moving between the bushes. Suddenly she stopped, right under the tree in which Hallows was crouched, trying not to breathe. Sweat was running down her muzzle and her blue eyes were shut. Kurono began to move away, and Hallows breathed out shakily, when all of a sudden the tracker looked up.
"Got you!" She growled, leaping up at the tree- just as Hallows dropped the small weight she had in her pocket.
It hit the tracker dog right between her optic sensors and Kurono crumpled with a small growl.
Forcing herself to breathe normally, Hallows ran towards a familiar alleyway, collapsing just inside.
The assassin stifled a shriek as a white and grey wolf slid from the shadows and went anthro.
"Out of breath, Rav? Loving the outfit." It grinned.
"You know that is not my name, Falcon." She said stiffly, still panting. "And this is actually very practical."
The other assassin, codenamed Falcon, laughed, looking at her 3/4 length black combats and strapless black bikini top with the wings sown on with his completely black eyes.
"Okay then, Miss Practical, I'll call you Hallows if you call me King of the Shadows." He said, sounding totally serious.
"Don't bet on it, Gyr." She laughed.
Gyr smiled ruefully, his tone suddenly business-like. "Did the job go okay?"
Hallows held up the blowpipe she used to fire her signature poison darts and shook it. It was empty.
"It went fine, it was the aftermath I wasn't quite expecting." She said sorrowfully. "Stupid Tracker basically lived there."
"Hallows? Did you take out a police tracker?" Gyr said, sounding alarmed.
Hallows smiled slyly, showing her long fangs. "I might have dropped a lead weight just as it was jumping for me. It'll be fine."
Gyr shook his head in amazement. "I'll never get the hang of working with you, Hallows."
The assassin winked. "I wouldn't expect you to."
A sudden noise made the two assassins jump to their feet, Gyr pulling out a gun, his own special silent pistol, and Hallows reloading her blowpipe. Two men stood less than 50 metres away, guns trained on the anthros.
"Don't move!" Barked one man.
"Yeah right!" Hallows snarled, grabbing Gyr's paw and jumping upwards, landing on the roof above the men's heads.
Gyr swivelled and fired twice, his deadly accuracy with the weapon fatal for the two men.
5 more men ran towards the alley, and Hallows blew quickly down the hollow bamboo tube, cutting 3 down, while Gyr dispatched the others. The two ran along the rooftops, jumping between the houses. Each time they jumped, Hallows' 'wings' meant she glided to safety, while Gyr just used his grey wings.
"Back to base?" Hallows panted.
"Yeah." Gyr said grimly, and together they dived into the river hat ran alongside the house, swimming down until they found the tunnel that led to their base.
Hallows breathed a sigh of relief and collapsed on her bed.
All in a day's work. She thought, smiling.
I understand that by adopting this creature I take full responsibility for it.We all seem to be reaching the conclusion that she's an assassin- it's something about her... XD
