This is actually a very, very odd thing to do in one's free time. He's basically singing, but without forming any type of word or thought. Ezekiel will not just keen when a female is around, or when he wants to assert dominance over the other stallions around him. He merely likes to toss his head back, and keen from deep within his strong chest up to the sky. It's an easy way to alert nearby predators of his location, really, but Ezekiel loves it and he has no intention of stopping soon.
