What's a Hazard Cat?

Hazard cats are felines that have been partially mixed with robotics. They have tails made of metal that are severed in the middle, but connected with some form of energy. A glass screen rests on their chests. This screen shows the cat's health with heartbeats or a glowing circle, but there are many other options besides these. The color always matches the cat's eyes. Some cats' screens are full of static. Beware, these are dangerous as they are rare. A small grate can be seen on both sides of the cats' bodies. They breathe through these grates, so it's impossible for it not to be there. What comes out of the grate differs from cat to cat. The most common is steam, uncommon is sound, which is accompanied by mist, and the hardest to find have goo seeping out between the bars. They have three eyes, but the one in the center of their forehead is almost always taped down or covered with a band-aid. It is said that this third eye allows them to paralyze their targets. The pupils are most commonly hollow in the center, but can be regular or slit. Large ears and eyes allow them to see clearly in all levels of light, even in pitch blackness. Their hearing is very advanced and they can hear sounds even higher than dogs can. Their legs are very long, like those of maned wolves, bringing them up to speeds of fifty miles per hour.

This guy is based around the concept of dreamcatchers, as requested in the Hazard Cat Forums.
I strayed a bit from the traditional dreamcatchers, though.
His grate leaks the essence of the galaxy. He has a dreamcatcher tied to his tail. The dreamcatcher can collect dreams. The dreams are stored in the orb around his neck. He's also extra fluffy. >u<

Clever, sneaky, and mischievous in the worst of ways. Benji is not happy-go-lucky or joyous. At least not to an extent. He keeps a very down to earth attitude and likes to remain mysterious to the outside world. However, he is beginning to experience a change of heart. After finally being punished for his wrong actions, Benji has become more humble and respectful. Although he still causes trouble, he makes sure to leave less of a mess behind.

Backstory:

Benji was no hero.
He was no prince.
not a traveler.
not popular.
Not beloved.
Benji was a theif.
He was quite skilled at his trade, too. He, however, never did the job for others, never marketed his skill. He stole solely for himself. For the longest time, nobody had seen this theif. And so, over the years, Benji had become arrogant enough to believe his actions would bring no consequences. Whatever he wanted or needed was swiped from another without so much as the bat of an eye. However, the comfort that his prizes and items brought him during the day was stolen from him at night. Every time the sun went down and the moon woke up, Benji suffered from night terrors. Horrid, contoured faces would scream and claw while Dark shadows suffocated him. He would wake up in terror of what might be lurking around him. Stalking him. Benji wanted a change. He didn't want to face the chimeras that constantly attacked him in his dreams.
It was merely coincidence that Benji stumbled across his solutions to his night terrors. With it's beads and feathers. The tightly woven string in an intricate design drew him in and captivated him.
"A dream catcher", came a raspy voice behind him. Benji jumped and spun around, hair standing on end.
An older looking hazard cat watched him with sharp eyes.
"I see nightmares in your gaze", she murmured. "Keep it"
With that, Benji took off without a thank you. He was too afraid she would alert someone that he had been there. That very night was the night he stole his first dream. He slept soundly, wrapped up in the warmth of his first good dream. Benji found himself taking dreams above anything else. They became his passion. With his dream catcher wrapped around his tail, he snatched the dreams of the homes he passed. Filtering out the nightmares and bringing the good ones with him.
As time passed, Benji became familiar with every dream of the hazard cats he lived around, and found himself growing bored with the same monotonous scenes. When he came across a new dream to live, it was thrilling. This was new and fairly different from most of his other dreams. As he explored this new dreamland of his, he came unto an odd crack. As soon as it had been spotted, the crack began to expand and grow until the dreamscape shattered completely. He was left floating in dark void, empty of both dreams and nightmares. Suddenly, Benji felt blinded by a flash of bright lights. Benji looked up to see a dazzling creature. Wide, blue eyes filled with starlight glared down on him. His tail was hardly a tail at all. It glittered with a million stars and planets, like a portal to a new galaxy millions of miles away from him.
"Thief!", the Godly creature snarled in accusation.
Benji cowered, ears flattened. "I stole nothing of yours!", he exclaimed in a trembling voice.
"A liar too", the god sniffed. "You're a thief like no other"
The creature crouched to give Benji a closer inspection.
"You are a bandit of dreams" he whispered. "You steal what is more precious and more valuable than riches of any sort."
Benji looked up at the god. "I didn't mean to! I didn't intend to steal your dream!", he wailed.
"Yet you intended to take another's", he retorted.
Benji flattened his ears and looked down. "I'm sorry", he whimpered.
When he glanced back up, the God was staring at him with a thoughtful look in his icy eyes.
"I should rid of you now before you stir up more trouble", The God threatened menacingly.
Benji opened his mouth to plead his case, but was cut short.
"-However, I will strike a deal with you instead"
Benji nodded eagerly in agreement. Relief evident in his eyes. The god brought down a massive paw unto Benji. Before impact, he woke up with a loud yelp. He looked around in confusion, head spinning. He recognized nothing. His surroundings had completely changed. Benji was being given a fresh start. He heard the God's voice ring in his head.
"Return all that you have taken, and I will return you to your kind."

With that, Benji was left to give back the dreams he had stolen.

Extra: ( solar eclipses point of view): normally I don't talk much about my life or what I am, but through this world the only thing that makes me at ease is watching the stars with my friends I guess that is how I got my name. But there is one thing that I take seriously and that is my dream catcher and how I collect dreams into my orb it helps me to know I'm doing the right thing, but sometimes I look back at my past and wonder if it could have been different with my family. Though that is the past and I must look forwards towards the future where it is bright as a star my friends call me solar but others call me eclipse, I don't mind which because as long as I have my loved ones I'm happy.
Extra: ( story behind the orb and dream catcher): growing up solar eclipse had been interested in stars ever since he got his name and how some teased him about his fur, one day his mother gave him a dream catcher to give him good dreams since he was interested in these too but one day when his dad went out he never came back. Upset about the disappearance of his farther solar has been noticing his mother hiding something, when he had finally found out it was the orb that his farther wears, she then told solar that it was now his duty to help others. After that solar eclipse had met many friends and enemies but he wears the dream catcher and orb with pride of his parents and the will to help others.
