Story;;
Nerissa closed her eyes, a joyful smile spreading on her facial features. The sun warming her pelt, the sand beneath her paws, and the salty breeze coming in the sea, ruffling her hair, making her feel so...free. She just loved being out here by the sea, enjoying the serene views and the peacefulness of it all. Opening her golden eyes with a happy sigh, she bounded down the beach, toward the listening mass of deep blue water. Nerissa reached the edge of the water and stopped, the water lapping at her paws as it reached further up the shore before receding. As must as she loved the sea and everything about it, she didn't really care to get all wet. It was always kind of a pain to get all of the sand caked on her off and she wasn't really in the mood to deal with that. Turning, she trotted along the water's edge, looking for any shells or little trinkets to keep for her growing collection. She eventually did come across some smooth and beautiful shells that she just had to take home with her. They would look gorgeous on some friendship necklaces she had made earlier in the week. She gently put them in a bucket she had brought along, also throwing in some beads and rocks she had found.Once her bucket was full with shells and other things, she picked up in her mouth. As she made her way back up the beach, something got snagged on her paw and she dragged it along briefly before she stopped, put the bucket down, and looked. Tangled around she paw was a old, gold necklace with a heart locket. Nerissa sat down and lifted her paw to better examine the designs engraved on the pretty little heart. On the front there was a greenish-blue gemstone in the middle of the locket. It looked like it had been lost for ages and there was nothing but water on the inside. She put it in the bucket to rest on top of all the shells she had gathered before she picked the bucket up and started home. Perhaps she could give the necklace to someone special or attempt to find the owner. The plumerian walked away from the beach, looking happy. Today had certainly been great.
