Hᴏᴍᴇ "Sᴡᴇᴇᴛ" Hᴏᴍᴇ ▶ Cher's home is actually the very thing he named himself after. His real name is Davian, but he does not respond to that and deemed himself as Cher out of the love he has for his home. Chernobyl became famous from the horribleChernobyl Disaster that happened in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine. At 1:23 on April 26th, 1986, Reactor Number 4 blew up and released an extremely large amount of radiation into the air. Chernobyl is deemed the worst nuclear power plant accident in history. Though only 31 deaths occurred over the accident itself, the effects of Chernobyl still lie in the people in surrounding cities. Mutations and deformations are appearing in former citizens' children as a cause of radiation. Overnight, all people were evacuated from Chernobyl, and a nearby city called Pripyat. While you can still visit and tour some parts of Chernobyl and Pripyat, the radiation still lurks in Chernobyl and they occasionally have to close due to the large amounts being able to effect or even kill you. (Interested? Read more about Chernobyl here!) So, why would anyone choose this as their home? Well, Cher has always been very reclusive and prefers to work on his machines than to converse with others. He spends his days fixing up bits and pieces of Chernobyl, including the abandoned amusement park in Pripyatthat is famous for it's eerie aura. Cher travels between Pripyat and Chernobyl, neither one is set home, though he does most of his work in Pripyat. His "wings" are used to give honor to the mutated wildlife that was struck by Chernobyl, and his feathers are from the first bird he saw at Chernobyl, their dull color is due to radiation.
▶ I'm currently a non-owner, and to have this boy as my first would be more thanamazing. ♥▶I chose this particular location because ever since I had heard about Chernobyl in school, it always struck me as very fascinating. Chernobyl Diaries (A horror film) that was set in Chernobyl also added to this interest because I love horror movies. ♥ I just think it's amazing how one slip of something that man had created can cause such a disaster with a long lasting impression on people, animals, and even the environment.
