Name:
Caedil, because that name was given to him by his parents and he will wear it with pride to respect what they thought was a good name for him and sees keeping his birthname shows that he trusts his parents to make good decisions. Though, for those he accepts as his friends and when talking to himself, he doesn't mind being called Cae.
Collaborative Story:
((Partners with Rakkun and using her beautiful boy Zamir in our story, which was written in Google Drive.))
Caedil hesitated briefly as his ears flattened to his skull, the evening breeze ruffling the tuft of hair that hung in his face as he once again made a list of the ups and downs of actually getting his fortune read. He’d already been divorced- mostly because he wasn’t finding himself enjoying the role as a husband, and he hadn’t been looking at his mate as often as he had Kiamaras of the...same gender. The thought of not being attracted to a female made him a little tense. He had heard the hateful words of those against homosexuals, pansexuals, and bisexuals, and the thought of those words being directed at him sent a troubled chill down his spine. Focus Cae, focus! With a slow, deep exhale he cleared his thoughts and began walking toward the faint light that came from the store known as Urban Treasures, his tail flicking to the side briefly as he quietly made his way toward the building while telling himself that surely luck would be on his side now.
Zamir’s ears perked up as he heard the slight tingling of the bell atop the frame of the doors entrance. He slightly lifted the beads and curtains to address his newest customer. “Welcome to Urban Treasures, We have jewelry, trinkets, teas and I also do fortune readings in the back room. If you need anything just let me know.” Zamir gazed the lightly colored kia over as a small smirk spread across his lips. His appearance was timed perfectly as Zamir had just finished the rest of his work on the upper level of his shop.
The smaller Kia lifted his head from staring at his paws like a child, blue eyes studying the darker male before he approached the curtains with his ears flattening to his head more as a sign of his anxiety. Something like coming to this area for such a thing as a fortune was so unlike him...but there he was, confused and looking for a sign that would push him toward the right direction. “Ye-yes,” he paused and took another deep breath, having to tell himself that Zamir wasn’t going to do anything that he didn’t ask for before he managed to continue, “I was hoping, if you have the time, that you could read my fortune?”
“What’s your name? And what question would you like answered?” Zamir shifted to the side of the door frame to lift back the curtain to the back room. He pointed with his other hand to the dark brown table that sat a little farther back up against the wall in the back room. The light colored Kia seemed a bit nervous and Zamir couldn’t help but stare at him a bit harder to see if he might start changing colors about his face.
Caedil blushed beneath his fur as he pondered the question before slowly slipping past Zamir and into the back room as his tail gave a nervous flick. “My name is Caedil and I was….actually hoping that you could tell me about the direction my love life is heading,” he admitted quietly, as if ashamed to the words that escaped him as he got settled in one of the seats at the table and watched the darker colored kia. “Do you think you can answer that for me?”
“Hello Caedil, my name is Zamir.” The darker kia said with a slight soft silver twist in his voice. “Getting your fortune read is something that you interpret on your own. I just hope that my cards might help you find the answer that you are looking for...” Zamir floated past Caedil slightly brushing against his side. He placed his hand on the cover of a small box that set upon the table and opened it to remove the well used cards. He sat gracefully in the chair farthest away from the door and again pointed Caedil to where he needed to be. It took him only a moment to shuffle them and place eight different cards face down on the table. “This is a planetary spread, it will give you insight into your current state in life. It should also help you figure out where you are headed in love.” Zamir added the last two words with an almost whisper like voice.
Caedil eyed the cards for moment, mentally scolding himself for the childish assumption that he would have his tea leaves read. The things one let wander into their heads sometimes….He shook his head slightly after a moment, fixing his pretty blue gaze on the cards and tilting his head to the side. Doubt swelled and weighed down in his stomach, making him hesitate before he nodded to Zamir. “Is there anything...specific that I have to do or do I just look at the cards?”
“Just look and draw you should be able to draw own conclusions as I explain the cards and their placements. This first card holds the meaning of your current overall self.", Zamir flipped the card and let out a small cooing sound. "Well would you look at this...The King of Wands. It seems your current self is passionate with a spry body and mind." Zamir stole another glance at Caedil before moving his focus back to the cards on the table. He skipped over the next two cards and flipped the 4th card over. The card read Death in large black letters… “This is the card that concerns your love life. The card of Death represents a form of rebirth, perhaps your old style of love no longer exists in your life.” Again Zamir skipped over the cards on the table flipping only the very last card. “Lastly you have the card that holds the meaning of the outcome. The Devil In Reverse also holds a meaning of rebirth as well as freedom.”
