What Is Serenity Shelter?
Serenity is a dog rescue. We rescue dogs of all kinds and rehabilitate them to be able to be adopted. Not all dogs have a nice past, such as just being given up to the shelter because their owners couldn't afford to care for them. Some are abandoned. Some were left for dead. But each one is special, and each one is full of love and ready to share it. We give the dogs the best care we can provide, but nothing beats a home that they can call their own. So are you ready to adopt?

So this dalmatian pup was found trapped in an old warehouse. Her barking attracted some passerby who informed us and hence we came across her. However we found a tiny cloth tied around right front leg and when we tried to remove it she growled at us.
So we let it stay! We are just now in the lookout for a good owner for this enthusiastic puppy.

How did she cam across the scarf on her leg: Gildì's previous owner was part of a traveling g gypsy caravan. Her mother had a litter- and most pups found a home within the caravan. Little Gildì was the runt and wasn't looked on with wistful thinking. The gypsy woman tied the scarf there to remind her that she is loved, no matter what. Unfortuneatly for her, Gildì got separated from the caravan and got stuck in a warehouse after exploring.

How did she come across the scarf on her leg: Born into a litter of five other puppies and a tired mom, gosh knows the owners couldn't keep them all. So they kept Mom and one of Addie's brothers. The rest were to be put up for adoption. In preparation for the adopters, all the puppies were washed and scrubbed down to look presentable and given a different color of scarf to tie around their leg, neck, etc. To Addie, it was her way of saying, "Look at me! I'm a good pup and I'm ready for adoption! I'm ready to find someone who will love me!" Despite her enthusiasm and eagerness to find a good family, she wasn't picked. Her symbol of hope failed her. When her owners then took her for a walk, she thought they were taking her to the dreaded place her mom told her about, called the pound, where dogs don't always live too long. So Addie pulled and tugged until she became free, and then ran as fast as her little legs could carry her. When she tried to find shelter in an old warehouse, the only way out became blocked, and she was trapped.

Personality:
Mellow: Addie, although outgoing and fiery at times, is usually laid-back and easy-going. She is calm when needed. She is capable of plenty of wondrous things, but knows when it's time to let go or ease up. Addie does her best to be patient when needed.
Intelligent: This dog is a clever thing. She has some street smarts and school smarts. Addie is a problem-solver and can think and take action within moments. Of course, being young, Addie cannot know everything, at least not yet, but she is a very quick learner and eager to fill herself up with new facts and ideas.
Silly: Addie loves to make others laugh and smile. It means a lot to her. Addie can be a bit clumsy and blundering at times, but that is fine by her. She enjoys joking around and purposely doing something way-too-puppy-like or childish to be on the attention spotlight. Everyone has to shine at some point!
Amiable: Little Addie pup is friendly to all. She is your friend when you need one, and is wonderful at keeping in the know and hiding secrets. Addie loves to make new friends and has a personality that is enough to make almost anyone enjoy her presence. This dog has a way of sparking conversations and easing someone into her "corner."
Rambunctious: With friends, Addie is a ticking time bomb. With her silliness comes mischievousness and curiosity. She's always looking for something new to get into, something to hide in, to play in. She finds joy in getting under everyone's feet and playfully stealing items.
Hopeful: Addie has always had optimistic outlooks. She never let's herself or anyone say something discouraging. She's always saying how things will turn out fine or how it will all be alright. Addie just keeps on smiling!
Faithful:Addie will not lie or cheat. She will not tell a secret or spread rumors. Addie is careful with drama and is responsible and trustworthy. She is compatible and flexible, ready to bend over backward to meet someone else's needs.
Honest: She hates to lie. Honesty is a policy of Addie's, even if it means brutality. She will only lie to protect a friend or family. Addie feels dirty if she makes excuses or makes a wrong decision. This pup, although often carefree and fun, also is slowly learning some rules of life.
Likes: Fresh fruit, wide open spaces, friends, long walks, the park
Dislikes: Lettuce, being enclosed, being forced to sit still, little activity, rudeness

Featuring Marvel
Marvel never has a hard time making friends, and is never board, but their comes a time when he has had enough of busy humans, old grumpy barn dogs, and stupid horses. As usual, marvel is the wake up alarm, the lunch time alarm, the I need to go potty alarm, the dinner alarm, the quite hours alarm... oh, and not to mention the I need to go potty in the middle of the night alarm.
To be totally honest, life would not be the same without that happy puppy barking in your ear 24/7, it has just become a sound at the stable. Some of the new horses are bothered by it, but they eventually get use to it to. You get the point... he is basically a four legged siren. But wait... what would life be with two of those??
It was a late spring morning. The dew had made a temporary home on each little flower and blade of grass, causing the whole ranch to sparkle. I looked down at my watch. The barn would soon be buzzing with excitement. In a few days, CWHR would be starting the Mustang Makeover, and everyone was extremely exited. I walked over to get a wheelbarrow and pick to muck. I was just about to start cleaning a stall when I heard Marvels barking, muffled by a cars engine. The car stopped and out hopped Arrows, one of our head workers. She did most of the office work at the farm. I walked out to greet her as she got out of her car, her smile was so big. I smiled back awkwardly, "Hia Arrows! Your late. Someone called about...", but she cut me off, "Teresa! You will NEVER guess what!" I stared blankly at her, "Nope... what?" "I got a dog!", she exclaimed and pointed at the car. "WHAT?", I was surprised. *BARK BARK* I looked over Arrows shoulder. Marvel was barking at her car... or rather, whatever was in the car. I smiled all big and creepy, and sprinted for the car. When I looked in the window I gasped. The cutest little dalmation puppy stared back at me, making me melt like butter then and there. Her little tongue was hanging out, and her tail was wagging. I looked at Arrows, and we squealed together. "Where did you get her?" I asked. "Same place you got marvel! The Serenity Shelter!" "Really? That is so cool! Can we let her out?" "Duh! I don't know how she is with barns or horses, so I will put the leash on her.", she replied and jumped into the car, grabbing a pink harness and slipping it over the eager puppies body. "She's so squirmy!", Arrows said, laughing. Marvel was pacing the side of the car waiting for her to be set down, his puffy tail wagging. *BARK*
The puppy barked back, but it was more of a squeak. Marvel had grown out of his puppy bark, but defiantly not his puppy energy! I smiled, "Oh, how had I not asked. What is her name?" Arrows smiled for a second, "Addie." I clasped my face with my hands, "SO adorable Arrows!" "Yha I know" We both laughed. I bent down and picked up Marvel, introducing him to Addie, "Marvel, say hello to Addie. Addie say hello to Marvel. You guys are going to be best buds." They sniffed each other for a moment, and then Addie licked his nose. "I don't know if I should consider that sheer cuteness, or gross!", Arrows exclaimed, "Should I let her down now? They seem to like each other." I nodded. The second those puppies reached the ground, they where wagging their tails, barking, and doing puppy attacks. Arrows and I stood their hypnotized by cuteness. It wasn't till marvel tried to pull off her a little green cloth from around her front right leg that she growled and backed away. Marvel backed off, giving a little 'I'm sorry' whimper. "What's up with her and that bow thingy?" I asked. Arrows explained it to me. "Wow, she's been through quite a journey, just like Marvel." I smiled down at them. They where playing happily again. I noticed that Marvel was trying to imitate Addie's high pithed bark. After a while of barking and playing at the same time, they sat back and started their own little puppy symphony. Marvel defiantly had that puppy bark down again, causing the result to be a horrible loud screeching noise. Arrows clutched her hands over her ears. We both laughed. "Enough of that little Riggolettos!" she said and swept up Addie. We walked into the barn together, well, more like stumbled because Marvel was running in circles around us. After one to many almost falls, I lifted him up, clutching on to him as he tried to get to Addie in Arrows arms. I smiled to myself. This summer sure is going to be fun... and not to mention... NOISY!

Quinn was with a very
loving family... one
who she loved back. The
family consisted of a
Sweet ; beautiful mother ; A
good-willed father and one
little girl named Santha.
Santha was only six but got
Quinn when she was only a
few weeks old... Quinn played
with Santha everyday - never
forgetting to bark when a belly-
rub was given. One day Santha
tied a cloth around her leg - for a
beauty - dress up contest thing
- for play. Quinn had " won " the
Amazing ; National contest
and kept the Cloth on. Months
later the family moved... yet
dropping the pup off at a
Warehouse. The warehouse
contained enough
food and it rained
oftenly - thus providing
the pup for awhile.
The mother though - when
the pup was put out -
started to reach for the
cloth - a favorite
of hers ( that they
hadn't been supposed
to use ) -. Santha
screamed at her and
made sure the cloth
was not taken off... The
pup only keeps it as a
great token of her family.

How did she cam across the scarf on her leg: callina was always a runt. she was born the runt of a litter of 6, her 5 brothers and sisters got adopted. but she, the runt nobody wanted after she took the big guys scarf and ran away. she got lost and found warehouse somehow finding a way to get her scarf around her leg witch have ripped into a cloth shape
