When Dastan meets an equid with teeth not in the best of shape, he cringes inside and gets scared about his teeth not looking nice.

Even though other equids may think him strange for this, he finds the smell of the pine needles soothing. If he is unable to sleep under a pine tree for the night then he experiences terrifying nightmares and is unable to sleep through the night.
