It's been a long day, and I can't see myself uploading all the data we collected tonight. The weathered sign out front could really use a make over. When I came up to the door I could hardly make out our logo along with the name Weathered Unit. Yea, tomorrow I'll get that fixed up while the data gets digested. Ha! Ya know. It's been a very productive year already and it's only been 'bout 4 months into it. I swear with that horrifying winter the rest of the seasons think they gotta show what they're made of. Nah, I've got a meetin' with some scientist that thinks we've got some 'ground-breaking' data from that.... what was it? The Vortex thing... Yea, Polar Vortex. So I've gotta skip out on the usual Friday night bar hoppin'. Tch, well, I'm sure gonna miss the scraps that seem to always happen, so make sure to get into an extra sketchy one for me. No, don't get yourself into the hospital or I'll kick your butt for gettin' in there. Alright, I'll see you in the mornin', G'night. -Click-

It had been one tiring night for Squall. Her team was planted in the middle of a long chain of severe thunderstorms and they had already tracked down about 5 tornadoes. Most of them burned out before any true data could be collected, but there was a smidgeon that could be worked on. She stretched out with a loud yawn, trying to muster something out of one of her teammates. Nothing. Not a single bit of the hook. Aw well she thought as her gaze returned to the wall of monitors inside their 'Storm Mobile'. They would probably go out for drinks and semi-decent bar food later to celebrate anyways; that is if they don't all crash after the storms passed.

It was hard to believe that such a rough looking lady would actually be doing this thrill seeking stuff for actual research. Most people assumed her team were just a bunch of amateur adrenaline junkies, especially when they see Squall as the team leader. Maybe it was the biker look or the way she spoke, but she definitely didn't look or act like a scientist. But that didn't matter much to her, considering she was used to it by now. Especially when she points out her meteorology and atmospheric sciences degree; people really can't connect the dots there.



A blaring light blasted the droopy eyes of the crew as a new system emerged to the east of their station. Another chance before the storms died off, and it was very close to them. Shaking off the drowsiness the designated driver set the vehicle in motion towards the new opportunity. Maybe this time we'll get some key data! Squall thought excitedly as the thunder claps and flashes of lightening grew nearer to them. Then the rain came down on them like bullets with the occasional thunk of hail. The conditions seemed right for a perfect tornado to appear at any moment, even more so now as they entered the calming eye of the storm. They set up their camp and watched for any sign of a twisting mass of clouds in the sky. Squall hopped out of the vehicle first, taking a delicate piece of measuring equipment in hand. Next was her cameraman, quickly setting up the bulky machine on a shoulder mounted stand so that he could follow her. Another was holding some metal cones that would be set up in the path of the tornado. Everyone else stayed in the vehicle to keep an eye on the weather and the readings from the equipment. When she saw it, her heart skipped a beat while her voice yelled in excitement. "My god! A beautiful F4! A Frickin' F4!" She pointed like a child wanting a toy at the column of whirling, menacing clouds making its way towards them. This one wouldn't lose it's energy as soon as it started. And it sure as heck was going to get them some valuable data.

Rave's parents weren't around that much, so she was pretty much an independent girl. You could hardly ever see her smile. She was found to be strange due to her spots and everyone assumed she had superpowers. She would tease people saying that she did and she would use her powers for evil.She would let some people get close to her, for she was afraid to open up to people too much. She is somewhat paranoid about people. Her father left her and her mother when she was 10 years old. She never found out why and her mother never wants to talk about it. She never changed a bit since he left, but she was a challenge too. She never understood that she would have to help her mother more since it was just them. Her mother and her argued more then solved anything. They both never agreed on most things. Due to the stress Rave was having, she was falling behind in school. Then one day Rave decided it was time to grow up a bit. She helped out her mother with almost everything. Rave was into DJing and so she went into that field. She is the DJ for most raves now and she adores her work. She loves helping out with parties, raves, and much more. Her mother didn't really approve much of the career choice, but she was only happy because Rave was smiling more for the first time since she was little.
