I chose Dauntless because he looks like to me that he'd have a wild, free-willed, almost reckless personality like the Dauntless faction of the book/moive Divergent. I see him as having a love for the rush of doing something dangerous, or doing one of his fears, but he knows not to go too far. The Dauntless faction strive for bravery and a life without weakness, someone whose willing to risk their own lives to protect others and not afraid to go through their worst nightmare if it would save someone. At least that's how they used to act before they were corrupted. And that's how I see this young stally, someone who's willing to do whatever it takes to protect the weak.

I chose the name Eiropa for a couple of different reasons. When I first saw this stallion, I thought of a song called 'Only Teardrops', which won the Eurovision Song Contest last year. His coat and eyes reminded me of the the gentle, yet powerful, force of rain, which brought the song to mind. These two, in turn, reminded me of Europe in general, and it made me miss home, which is Sweden. However, I felt the Latvian name for 'Europe' fit much better than Europa, Evrope, or Europam. As a DAM, he is born and raised in the desert; it is most likely all he knows. But think, that when he was born, his mother was reminded of the rare occurence of rain and dew upon springy plants, and thus in turn named him after the land that holds so much rain. I believe that Eiropa grew into his name, as all do, and in turn became as light as the pitter patter of rain, and as resilient as the weather storms he may never experience. He embodies this name, and I feel, as I write my reason(s) for choosing this name, that I could give him no better name than the name Eiropa.
