Atari, as his name suggests, is a total retro gaming buff. He'll list off any older console you've ever heard of, plus ten more you haven't. His hobby, you ask? It is...

Restoring old games! Whether it be home consoles, tiny handhelds, or big, clunky arcade machines, this boy knows how to get inside their inner workings and make them work like new. With keen eyes and steady paws, he makes the job look easy. A lesser known talent, overshadowed by his knowledge of circuitry and outdated tech, is his artistic ability. A lot of the arcade games he sees come and go have pitiful outside shells. All of the iconic art on the outside? Faded, chipped, stained over. It breaks his heart. Atari keeps a large collection of paints and brushes around his home just because of this, to painstakingly reapply the original art back to the machine.

He'll fix your games no matter who you are, and as long as you promise to give him the first turn playing (he claims it's to test the quality of his work, but he's a shameless gaming fanboy), it's completely free of charge. How could this little guy ask for cash in return for just following his heart?

Spark came upon his nickname from a carving hanging on his tail; a blazing fire carved into a red-brown, thin sliver of wood. No one knows or dares ask how he got it; they simply call him after it, purchase whittled wood, and move on. Most of them, other than Cerise, who looks up to the solemn whittler.

You know those people that get those smiles on their faces when they talk about the things they love? They get these looks of pure joy on their faces and even if you don't really like what they're talking about you can't help but love it too when you see how happy it makes them. For me, that thing is the sky.

Even since I could remember I've always loved the sky. There was just something about the fluffy clouds, the calmness and how it could go from beautiful to indescribably dangerous over the span of a few moments that always gave me goosebumps

I supposed it helped than I was never a very social child. I was always too awkward or uncoordinated to play with the other children and to be perfectly honest i never really wanted to. I was always content laying on my back and finding shapes in the clouds.

If I could trace the beginnings of my hobby back to any one day it would probably be the first day I ever heard the word pilot. Before ever meeting my grandfather I could remember my parents saying he was something called a pilot. Mind you I was very young and didn't quite know what that meant but the word always excited me. It wasn't until they took me to meet him that I realized it meant he had touched the sky. Needless to say he quickly became my favourite person.

He couldn't really fly anymore, what with his bad leg and poor vision, but he did have this massive collection of model airplanes. We used to spend hours on end flying them, building them, racing them, putting on air shows and those hours were the best of my life. Those planes were my connection to the one thing I had always loved and when they came back slightly damp from the moisture in the air goosebumps textured my arms, knowing I had indirectly touched the sky.

When he died, and you must understand he was very old and quite sick so it was his time to go, his collection was given to me. I fly the planes every day, still enjoying the freedom and joy they bring me, but every year on his birthday and buy and build a new plane. I paint his name on it and fly it in his memory, as high as it can go until it touches the heavens.
