favorite constellation: "corvus is latin for both 'raven' and 'the crow'. just like my name, my favorite constellation is the corvus constellation. eleven stars of the constellation are visible to the naked eye, and the others must be seen via telescope; as i own one of my own, it makes it much easier to gaze among the stars. stargazing is one of my favorite pastimes, you see. i've also realized that if you just look a bit to the west of the constellation virgo, it's possible to see corvus. i think the true reason i love it so much is because i feel like it's my constellation. like it's a part of me, you know? i've laid awake on a sleepy night wondering what's out there, and when i look at corvus it makes me so happy. i wonder if i'll ever be able to go out there and see what i want to; the only thing keeping me from it is a billion light years. i'd love to exit the galaxy and float around through space, and find more constellations as i do so."

• "My favorite constellation? Hmm... It would have to be Lyra. It's not my favorite for the constellation itself, but for it's principal star, Vega. Of course Lyra has quite a few wonderful stories revolving around it, but my favorite story involves Vega and hails from Japan. Vega, also known as Tanabata, is a celestial princess that falls in love with a mortal man, Kengyu, who is represented by the star Altair. However, when Tanabata's father finds out he is furious, and forbids her from seeing him. The two lovers are immortalized in the sky, separated by the Celestial River for eternity. But the Sky Gods are compassionate, and each year on the seventh night of the seventh moon a bridge of magpies forms across the Celestial River, and the two lovers are reunited. Although, some years Kengyu's trip is treacherous and he fails to make it. On these years Tanabata's tears form the raindrops that fall over Japan."

Hi, I'm Callie. I'm am obliviously a boy. I was pulled here to tell you all about my favorite constellation. My favorite constellation is Columba; Columba translates to 'The Dove'. I like Columba because the dove seems to be a romantic figure and I, being quite flirty, feel that pointing out Columba to the right lady sets them off. Many women see doves at their wedding or on a date. Many place them in their dreams and so, knowing about the constellation is a definite plus to getting the girl. However, I also like it for my own personal reasons. The constellation Dove is very attractive. I love the mood it sets off. The stars aligned are very beautiful in themselves.

This time, however, he makes no attempt to hide his merriment, and when he looks up, he’s wearing a good-natured smile. “I’m MALE, if it’s that important to you. What’s with the sudden interrogation, anyway?”

Just give me a minute to think, alright?” True to his word, he pauses to think for a moment, and his voice is unusually gentle when he starts to speak again.

“I guess that my favorite constellation would have to be the LITTLE DIPPER, and before you ask, no, I do not mean Ursa Minor—the Little Dipper is what I’ve always known it by, and it’s going to stay that way. When I was a kid, I got sick a lot, and I always refused to take any medicine, so my mom would nurse me back to health with stories about a spoonful of magical medicine in the sky instead. Even now, I can almost taste her chicken soup whenever I look at the Little Dipper.” There is a moment of nostalgic silence; then, Cosmos flashes you a mischievous grin. “It’s kinda cheesy, huh?”
