Sparrow was very scared, and could tell Rin didn't know what was going on. She pull Rin down, and the little pup ran outside and hid in a bush. Sparrow ran after her, and saw the pup was digging for something. Rin barked, then nudged forward a rock. It was round and smooth, and smelled of flowers. Sparrow laughed.
"You want me to throw this?" Sparrow looked down at her pup. Rin knocked the rock out of her mother's paws, then shook her head. She dove back into the bush, and got a black rock.'An obsidian maybe. No, it's a rock.' Sparrow thought. Then she noticed the shape it was in. A heart, the rock was in the shape of a heart. She smiled at Rin.
"Did you make this? Or was it already like this?" Rin squeaked, then pushed away the bush. There were little pieces of rock, and a stick.
"So you did make this. I love it, thank you Rin."
"Love rock." Rin growled playfully. Those were Rin's first words! It looked like things were turning around. Love rock, what a beautiful name. Sparrow held the rock in her paws, and put it where her heart should be.
"Love rock, it's beautiful. This is where your heart is, Rin." Sparrow explained. Rin squealed with joy.
"Heart! Heart! Love heart, momma, love heart. Rock of love."
Okay, get used to the black font, everyone. The next book is going to be all black font for the text. I hope the next book will have a lot longer chapters, but we'll just have to see. Sorry for the short chapter, but I didn't want to give too many spoilers for the next chapters, with only two chapters left. Say what you think is gonna happen!
