Naga Deer?
A Lakshere or a creature more commonly known as the Naga Deer is a snake-like animal with a deer's head and legs. Their native home is Kote Forest in India. They grow to be as large as a full grown buck/stag, while the smallest one ever recorded is the size of a common farm goat.
Naga Deer usually hatch from eggs, but in rare instances, they are born. Female and male NDs don't have much difference except for their tail tufts. Males have larger, poofier tail tufts used to attract mates. Both genders have short curved horns and come in a variety of colours.
Most NDs that don't live near villages don't take kindly to visitors. However, the luckier NDs that receive scraps from the villagers will gladly warm up to you if you decide to own one. They are omnivorous, meaning they aren't too fussy about what they eat.
