Entry Number One

Dear Diary,
My mother wanted me to start keeping one of these. She says I always hide away my emotions,
and don't open up to other Rainbow Paint Wolves very well. It is true, I'm not the type of wolf to
go around expressing myself. I fear that people won't like me, I do have some strange interests.
Well, Diary, I fear I am stuck with you. I just hope that you will help me learn to open up to other
wolves, and help me accept who I am.

Entry Number Two

Dear Diary,
Today I'm feeling very excited! Me and mother are going to the caravel at my elementary school today.
Everyone in school is talking about it. The teachers say that they will have a cake walk there, which is
my favorite game to play at caravels. I just love the fruit cakes they offer a prizes. Mother reminded
me not to spend all her money on trying to win them, like I did last time. I told her I wouldn't, but I'm
sure me and brother know I'm going to try! Oh, mothers calling, talk to you later Diary!

Entry Number Three

Dear Diary,
Yesterday at the carnival was a blast! I had so much fun playing games, and all the food they sold there
was to die for! Mother and I spent a lot of time at the cake walk, too. I guess she gave up on the "no
spending all my money on the cake walk" part. I played at least 10 times, and won twice. I hoped that
I would win at least three or more times, but I still have two more fruit cakes then I did before I started!
I wished Caleb could have gone with us, but this carnival was just for 1st-3rd grade, and I'm in third. I'm
going to be really jealous when Caleb gets to go tomorrow, I'll tell him later to win me more fruit cake.

Entry Number Four

Dear Diary,
Today has been a bit of a "bum", as mother would say. I ate all my fruit cake last week, and mother
would not buy anymore. She says, "there is more to life then fruit cake." I know there is, of course.
I really love fruit cake, but sometimes I'm scared it would make me all "puffy" if I ate too much. At
least that is what father says. And I don't want to be a big puff ball,, and have to roll where ever I
go. The thought scares me. Anyway, I have to do the dishes tonight, which I don't like doing. I hate
all the grime and stuff that comes off into the water, and then I have to touch it if the drain gets
clogged. I'll ask mother if tonight we can have something less messy. Something like sandwiches

Entry Number Five

Dear Diary,
I'm feeling a bit better today. We ate grilled cheese sandwiches last night, so all I had to do was get
a bit of cheese and crumbs off the plates. Caleb said that later today we could play catch with the new
gloves father bought us. I don't much like baseball or softball, but playing catch with Caleb was lots of
fun. He was always such a nice big brother, and I'm lucky to have him. I hear that a lot of wolves have
family problems, and I feel really bad for those wolves. I could never imagine having a better family than
I do now. I hope nothing ever happens to tear us apart.

personality

Marella is quite the joyful little thing, though a bit shy at times. She often uses her shyness as
an excuse not to participate in many things, such as school clubs and horse riding teams, both of which
deep inside she wants to do. She is very caring when it comes to her family and brother, but has a hard
time with being caring towards other wolves. Marella has a lack of trust with wolves she does not know,
not for any clearly defined reason, though. Her parents believe it is because she sees how the world actually
is, and fear that they did not do a good enough job protecting her from that truth for as long a possible.
__Marella adores anything that has to deal with animals. She feels like they are some of the only creatures
she can connect with. Many think she just likes to be alone, judging by the way she quickly leaves school
and only comes back for festivals and such. But she really just prefers to be with her family or animals.
She has a deep bond with her family, but mainly with her brother, Caleb. She loves her brother more then
most of her family. She knows it is a terrible thing to say, but she has always felt that her brother will
always be there for her, even if she leaves her parents. She feels it is a bond that cannot be broken, even
if the world is falling apart, she believes her brother will be there to help put it back together.
