Did you get the model horse's painter's permission to ref her for a character? Some artists don't particularly like their designs being used, just as digital artists do.

It was posted on my friend's page of horse statues she owns. I asked her if it was ok and she said it was fine. I don't have the email anymore cause I cleared out my email. I can't remember if she said it was a Breyer horse or not. I've used a few Breyer images of ones I own.
