The first thing people usually notice about Zero is what pitifully little tact he seems to have. It's equal parts amusing and embarrassing to watch Zero in social situations he's largely unaccustomed with, as subtle cues fly right over his head and almost everything he says will come off as either awkward or even condescending, regardless of whether that was his intention. Despite the entertainment factor, this generally spells bad news for Zero. Even though he's not exactly the most kind-hearted Puffball, he's not a complete jerk either, but his tactlessness can make it seem otherwise. Not to mention his tendency to be a touch self-centered at times certainly doesn't help him much in gaining respect for himself. Zero has a weak grasp on the concept of cooperation. Besides often not being able to communicate effectively, Zero also doesn't like accepting help from others. He feels like his opinions are the only valid ones, and he hates to be proven wrong. Though he's quick to point out flaws in other people's ideas, Zero doesn't appreciate when others do the same to him. For all his apparent arrogance, Zero has a somewhat low level of self-esteem. He can be hurt quite easily and takes criticism as a sign that he's not good enough, hence his distaste for it.
Zero isn't an idiot though. In fact, he's actually quite intelligent, and you can bet that he won't pass up an opportunity to show it off. Ask him a question and Zero will give you a needlessly detailed answer, sometimes with an unnecessary explanation of other distantly related topics. If it happens to be a question he doesn't know the right answer to, Zero will either give a vague but lengthy response or purposefully say something that's obviously incorrect and claim he was "just testing you" if he's called out on it later. Aside from having general knowledge, Zero is also fairly skilled with technology. Computers, cell phones, your old scientific calculator from middle school, this guy can do it all. Well, perhaps the last one with less enthusiasm. Zero doesn't like handling old or "outdated" technology. He much prefers newer electronics, and always has to have the most up-to-date model. Needless to say, Zero doesn't hold on to his stuff for too long before getting replacements. His tendency to tire quickly of things occasionally shows outside of his material objects as well. Zero rarely sticks to one routine for very much time before changing it up. Even the seemingly mundane or unimportant doesn't escape his attention and ultimately ends up switched around.
Sadly, Zero doesn't always have such focused motivation on his tasks. He's notoriously lazy and has a huge problem with procrastination. He'll gladly put off everything until the very last minute, leaving him scrambling to get things done...and that's if Zero decides it's important enough to finish at all (He has an unfortunate habit of "forgetting" about certain tasks, usually the least desirable ones). His disorganization doesn't help matters either. Given that Zero's constantly rearranging things, it can make finding what he needs a real chore. It certainly takes a lot to push this guy out of the doldrums and into working efficiently, but you'd be surprised at how focused Zero can be if what he's doing really holds his interest. This little Puffball is truly capable of great things. It's just a matter of getting him to actually go out and do them.

.:Syntax:.
To say Zero and Syntax aren't on the best of terms with each other would be an understatement. Given that one loves to cause problems while the other one prides himself on keeping things in working order, it shouldn't come as a big surprise that sparks tend to fly when they're around each other. Zero might be tinkering with a radio as a personal project or doing a bit of work on his laptop when Syntax flies in to purposely short things out. Many hours of progress have been lost this way, much to Zero's frustration. He can't understand the entertainment Syntax gets from meddling in his business. People sometimes try to label the two as rivals, but as far as Zero's concerned, Syntax is just some annoying nuisance trying to make his life harder.
.:Izzy:.
Izzy's a bit of a mixed bag for Zero. On one hand, she's a nice girl, knows better than to criticize his stuff, and hands out compliments like they're going out of style. However, she can also be a bit of an annoyance, dripping honey all over everything and constantly asking him if there's some way she can help with his "neat techy stuff", even though he's perfectly capable of doing it on his own, thank you very much. Listening to Izzy's chatter does provide Zero a kind of support though, so usually he'll just sit her in the corner with a Rubik's Cube or some other distraction and listen to her talk while he tinkers away. It's far from being a very personal relationship, but it does Zero good to know someone is there.
