This Kia would go by the name Parr. Parr is a boy's name that originated in Old English.

Parr is a male. Man, dude, guy, boy, sir, whatever you want to call it, it won't change the fact that that's what he is.

Parr has a weird relationship with cats. He doesn't hate them, but he doesn't love them. In fact, he fears them. Parr has what you'd call Ailurophobia, which is the fear of felines. No, he's not afraid because his parents were mauled by tigers. No, he's not afraid because he was trapped in a cage with a lion. It has nothing to do with large cats.In fact, he's afraid of the whole species because of one cat. His. Parr owns a short, stout little calico by the name of Juniper. She has a very light yellow base with musky orange, deep black, and faint white spots. Her eyes are a brilliant shade of light green, and Parr later states that her eyes were what appealed to him most. He retrieved her at a no-kill animal shelter. Note that at this time, he isn't afraid of cats. Actually, he went to the shelter looking for a dog. His status with cats was neutral. Anyways, he learned that June had been abused. What he didn't know was that she was extremely bipolar and had mood swings every few seconds. Now, this is the day he brings little Juniper home. She's running around, all happy and sweet, trying to soak in the scent of this new environment. Parr is following her, chuckling to himself and deciding that he made a good selection. Then the first mood swing. June was turning in circles, chasing her tail like a dog, when she caught sight of Parr. She hisses and leaped at him, digging her teeth into his ankle and breaking the skin. Poor Parr let out a yelp and attempted to shake her off. A few seconds later, she loosened her grip and started being her adorable side again. Parr took her to the vet a few days after she was having the mood swings; sometimes that happened every few seconds! Luckily, she could only reach his ankles and shins, but he was tired of having to hurt when he stood up. The vet examined Juniper for an hour or so then came to this conclusion- she was bipolar. As she grew older, Parr became more and more afraid of her. Her teeth got sharper, she could bite together harder, her claws got longer, and the worst part, she had begun to take a liking to sitting or hanging off of his limbs. This scared Parr most because if she decided to bite on his head or arm, either she would be hurt or he would be hurt. Occasionally, when June is lounging on his head, she claws at his forehead and nose. Of course it hurts, but it would hurt a lot more if he woke an irritated cat for her sleep. Parr could always drop her off at a pound, but he thought she'd had a hard enough life as it is. Of course, the only cats Parr sees are strays and Juniper, and the strays aren't exactly very nice, so he came to the conclusion that all cats were like June and could severely injure him if they felt that they needed to. So now, instead of just being afraid of Juniper, he's afraid of all cats. He can hardly go to the store to buy cat food. He doesn't hate cats, he just fears them more than anything else.

I remember the day clearly. I live through the memory everyday. And although the past is in the past, I will bring this up again. Just this once.

Our parents abandoned us when we were young. I do not remember them, I do not fantasize about them. I do not miss them, they could be dead for all I care. My brother and I grew up on the streets of Paris as dirty, homeless children. More souls to spit on, you could say. My brother Judas was a determined young beggar; his eyes kind but his paws filthy. He was not one without sin, and would steal and curse. Nevertheless, I looked up to him.

As a timid little girl, I could not rest without fear in my heart. Although I had grown up on the stone cold pavement, it was not my home. The only home I had was in my brother's embrace. And Judas never stayed the night. He always slipped away when I fell asleep, snatching food from shops and stalls nearby. He kept us alive. He kept the cats alive.

At first, he had not told me about them, but as the meals we ate became smaller, I grew suspicious. In the end, he had no choice but to show me them. I was disappointed I was no longer the only one in his heart. The stray kittens frightened me with their curious stares. Judas adored them though, took care of them as his own. Sometimes I felt like begging him to leave them behind, but I knew it would only light his fiery temper.

One morning, he did not return. Worry weighed down my heart and soul. I did not dare look for him; I was too young to go alone. Only now do I wish I had. Instead, I made feeble attempts to steal from nearby food stalls, finally victorious at noon. By then, hunger was clawing at my insides. I had managed to sneak a few small apples away. Rosy red, I shined one against my fur.

Not long after my first bite, Judas' kittens plodded across my path, mewing pitifully. I was too afraid to approach them. I could not say they felt the same way. The four kittens

NAME Oxford Jay, Oxford is a shade of blue
and this Kia, although not very blue, brings
the color blue to mind. Blue brings blue jays
to mind, and so I came up with the name
Oxford Jay.
He goes by Jay, Ox, Oxxy or Oxford.
But only his friends normally call him Oxxy.

Oxford has always had an...odd relationships with cats.
It's not that he's a lover of cats, an obsessed cat person
or other wise known as a crazy cat lady (though he is a
male). To him cat does not simple mean your average
house cat. He thinks of the cats in the wild, tigers,
lions, leopards, cheetahs, those are the cats that
he's interested in.
He's awed by their power and their amazing skills.
To Jay these big cats of the wild are simply amazing.
But he doesn't obsess over them, he watched them
sometimes. Jay lives near the jungle so sometimes
he finds himself sitting among the trees, hidden away
behind an empty sketch book and in the arms of a
tire swing. There he likes to watch the tigers and
leopard (if ever seen). Sometimes, if lucky, he sees
them.
Oxford doesn't just see a tiger, he doesn't just see
a striped animal, he see's a powerful beast with
amazing muscles and eyes that hold a whole world i
n them. He sees something amazing.
But of course he can't always be in the presence
of a tiger or lion. So he settles himself with a cat.
Just one. His pet cat, Oni. Oni is an odd cat, preferring
to stay outside during most of the day and come in
at night. Oxford often just calls Oni "The Black Cat."
Oni means demon, Oxford names the cat Oni because
she seems to disappear and reappear as she wishes,
coming from the shadows like a ghost and bringing
her prey (usually a bird or mouse) with her.
Oni and Oxford are both odd, an odd cat for an odd kia.
But Oxford doens't like being called obsessed about
cats or tigers or anything, really. He doesn't like being
judged because he likes cats and sometimes draws them,
so he usually keeps his sketches to himself.
