What is a Jellybean Dragon?

A Jellybean Dragon is a fluffy, friendly dragon that hatches from a jellybean-like egg. Their diet consists of fruits and insects, but they also love sweets and desserts. Their fur is soft and long, usually brightly colored, neat, and shiny. Jellybean Dragons are mostly gentle and happy, and love attention. Most are Great Dane-sized when they are fully grown, but some of them can grow as big as a cow. All Jellybean Dragons have pouches on their bellies, which they use to carry around food or younger JBDs.

This bean really took that long to judge.
There are so many gorgeous forms, more than what I expected at first.

It was summer, the final week of school and carnival’s head was on the desk, the heat getting the better of him as he slid into a slumber caused from fatigue. Did someone just turn the air conditioning on? Or was it… cooler? Irises of gold were revealed as he opened his eyes yet it was the cool of dusk, the sound of music dancing in his ears, had he somehow got to rio? his birth town? No, it wasn't but no matter, his heart soaring he ran to join the beans. He ran along with them, pelt beside pelt, his fur shining turning his fellows fur dull. He was in the spotlight, compliments and flirts fired his way and he relished it. However the procession slowed and halted beside a deep pool of blue, fiery streaks highlighting the rippling surface as the sun disappeared behind the crest of the hill. Just as carnival thought the events were over the Chinese lanterns were given and set a light, write your wish carnival… so he did, ‘to feel weightless of worries, touching the stars.’ On the count of three the lanterns glided like fireflies into the vast sky. He was soon lifted of the ground, his body becoming weightless as though he defied gravity, into the sky along with the burning lanterns that ignited the sky. He began to grow hotter and reached out his paw in an effort to touch the stars before falling back into his class chair.

Zia was at the back of the classroom, her deep amber eyes shinning softly from the sunlight that kissed the shadowy room. She held her chin in her paw, her claws curving the shape of it. Her long claws then started to twirl the tiny furs on her chin, tickling her softly. Zia was meant to be on Earth, studying about her favourite subject, Math. Though, her head was in the clouds. Her amber eyes then blinked suddenly, making her room fill with darkness and shadows. She gasped, and slowly got up from her chair. She blinked again, wondering why everything was like this. Her class mates and teacher then turned around, their eyes filled with the blackness of a ravens feather. She then screamed, and tried to run... something had its grip on her. She turned around, a enormous figure with razor sharp teeth and piecing red eyes had it slimy hands on her. She then looked into its eyes, and she suddenly felt like her soul was torn out of her body. Then she and fell to the ground, feeling limp and all of a sudden tired. Zia then snapped back into the real world with a flinch. She ended up on the floor of the classroom, her class mates laughing and yapping away at her. It was just a dream, she said to herself, though I wish this was, she said rolling her eyes and sinking into her seat, heart racing a million miles per second.

A gust of wind blew against the grassy, daisy-covered meadow, where Hummer laid on, smiling brightly, fur ruffling against the wind, the sun's rays giving him warmth and his fur that orangey hue. Hummer whistled a melody, moving his tail slowly from side to side in delight and comfort. A few of his fellow hummingbird friends, upon hearing him whistling, instantly flew to his side, fluttering around him. Hummer smiled and lifted a paw, waving to his flying friends. The sounds of their happy chirping filled the surroundings, the grassy hills echoing their call.



Hummer sighed. “This was the life,” he thought to himself. He looked at the hummingbirds fondly and grinned at them. He had known most of his hummingbird friends from an early age. They made the best friends Hummer could ever imagine, playful and loyal too. There was a hummingbird playing jump rope with his wagging tail, a hummingbird on his paw and nose, and a hummingbird pecking his head while creating a rainbow… “Wait. A hummingbird pecking his head while creating a rainbow?” Hummer opened his eyes and blinked twice. Rats. He had been daydreaming again, and was now back in reality. He had promised to help his hummingbird friends find some nectar, for they just couldn’t have enough of that gooey sweet liquid. A peck from a hummingbird reminded him that he still had not foraged enough. He sighed and got up from his comfy position to gather more nectar for his friends…
