♫ Origins

Thousands of years ago, alongside the legendary Amazon river was a tribe of people known for revering animals as deities, as well as being the first civilization to create their own species. Scientists have been unearthing evidence of their spiritual activity for years now, searching for evidence of this creature, however just last month they have come across ground-breaking evidence. Paintings of mysterious creatures, adorned with feathery crests and spitting fire from their mouth were found engraved inside the walls of a newly-discovered shrine. In the center of the shrine lay a vase adorned with the same feathers depicted in the engravings. Inside the vase lay a mysterious fossil, perfectly in-tact and seemingly immune to nature's forces. Stunned by the miraculous find, the fossil was given to a renowned anthropologist, who was dumbfounded as to what it could be. The fossil, despite the obvious age of the shrine, seemed to be very new - as if it was only fossilized a decade ago rather than thousands of years.

A team of archaeologists were sent off in search of this creature, despite their doubts that it even existed anymore. After months of tireless searching, they came across a lucky find - a trail of strange, clawed tracks leading up alongside the Amazon. The team followed the trail, and it lead up to a small den. An aura of warmth seeped out of its entrance, and after a few moments, a small creature lifted its head out, blinking curiously at its pursuers. The team was astonished to see that the creature looked very similar to that of the shrine's mysterious engravings.

The lizard-like creature was taken back to the lab, where it was confirmed to be the same creature as the fossil. Soon after, other teams began to find that within the Amazon was an entire population of these creatures, living off the land for countless years. Scientists decided to name them 'Pseudodragons' for their depictions in the shrine's engravings represented a dragon spitting fire at its prey. Years passed, and many of the Pseudodragons were taken in by humans to keep as pets. Today, this tradition continues and Pseudodragons remain a very popular household pet for their ability to hunt down mice and other pests.

The boy is based off of ravens, fire, and this song.
Mostly ravens/crows/blackbirds, though.

Personality;; Raven is shown as a charming, sophisticated gentleman with a wide range of knowledge, from art to foreign languages, most of which seems to be self-taught. Corbeaux is an adventure waiting to happen. He loves to explore and just have fun. Corbin rarely listens to others and doesn't often follow the rules. He is a free-soul and has an attutude that says "Nobody can stop me from what I set my mind to." Corb is often smiling and doesn't get too grumpy. He is often tinkering with things and he likes to fix things.

Short Story
I did this story in Corb's point of veiw.

I looked from the mountain, waiting. I knew that they were coming; it was only a matter of time. I turned my head to the wind, as I hoped to hear them coming. The sun glinted against my light red optics. "Come on," I said, looking around impatiently. Then I heard it. The caws of the coming crows, racing the wind; racing me. I watched them fly over head and lept from my position, ready to race. The last flying bird gave a loud caw, which I took for the signal that told me to go. I dug my feet into the ground, which pushed me farther. Looking to the sky, I galloped below the cawing crowd. The river to which I raced the birds to everyday was nearing; I had to catch up. This was it; I had to leap for it or I was to lose this battle. I leapt for it, water splashing everywhere. Smiling, I looked to the sky to see that the birds were now flying overhead. I had one. "See you tomorrow," I mumbled, shking the water off of my dripping scales. The sun set in the distance as I padded on home.

Tamesis is a quiet Pseudodragon, he doesn't mind the company of others but is selective of who he keeps close. He is a very smart Pseudodragon and analyzes everything, thinking quickly on his feet. His over thinking tends to turns off others from talking to him too much, he doesn't easily understand others emotions, but does their actions. Regrettably the same goes for himself, he doesn't understand too many deep emotions of himself but can logic through everything he does. Now he is often called lazy and yawns during the day very often, the words of others don't bother him in the slightest either. But why does he yawn? Tamesis is generally wide awake during the night time hour, when others are sleeping soundly he is exploring and getting into all kind of devious troubles with whoever is bold enough to stay up with him. Once the morning has come he generally sunbathes in the morning light.
