Glace. Driftwood is a typical thing you find
on a beach, and so I thought that Glace,
referring to snow and ice, would make a
cute contrast. People tend to refer to him
as Drift more often than Driftwood.

You may think that because Drift is a beach designed bean that his hobby will be something beach related, on the contrary, he prefers to stay inside even on sunny days because his favourite hobby is playing video games! This seems like a simple option but it is far from it. Let me explain.

Driftwood got his first gaming console, a Nintendo DS for his fourth birthday{yes he started young!}, from his adopted Mom, Paloma along with The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and ever since then, Drift has been completely hooked on gaming. He began to play more games, including a lot of the Pokemon games and the Animal Crossing game. Then, he began to branch out into other games.

Next up was Runescape, which he spent hours playing and perfecting. He spent ages on everything and made sure to explore the whole of the map. He bought full membership and spent a long time playing it.

Then, at the Christmas before his seventh birthday, from his now dual adoptive parents, Sherbert and Paloma, he received his first two proper consoles, he received a Super Nintendo Entertainment System with the original Super Mario Kart game, more as a joke, and an Xbox 360. He was over the moon and began to play it constantly. He collected a huge amount of games, and now plays them constantly. His favourite games are, The Call of Duty series, the Halo series, the Assassins Creed series, Team Fortress 2 specifically, the first Portal game specifically and strangely, still the original super Mario Kart, when it was bought for him as a joke. This is probably because he is incredibly good at it, and has never lost to anyone. He has also recently discovered Minecraft and is beginning to really get into that. He aslo owns a couple computer games, but he doesn't play them quite as much.

Gaming is Drift's favourite hobby because he likes the fact that games can pull him away from reality and give him a purpose. He likes the feeling of just sitting down and being given an objective to complete by the game, and enjoys working in the systematic way that it takes to complete or at least finish most of a game. He often enjoys the plotlines in games as much as the actual playing of the games, and loves to watch the stories develop, you can often see him looking at the TV screen with an open mouth during surprising parts or plot twists he can also be seen yelling at the TV when he dies, or loses a life, not that he is like that usually, just toward gaming. He loves games though does get easily frustrated with most of them. He also loves gaming because he feels it is a good way to socialise and play with friends, and he is desperately trying to get his best friend, Kana, into the same video games as him.

I chose gaming as Drift's hobby, because it is a very avid hobby of my own, and I feel a very strong connection to Drift, as a bean and already as a character, so I felt it made a lot of sense to pick a hobby for him that I enjoy a lot myself, so that I could deepen the connection. I know it wasn't really a conventional idea, but I hope I have developed it enough that you can understand that quite a lot of thought has gone into his hobby. Thank you.

Ｎｅｒｉｎｅ'ｓ Ｓｔｏｒｙ
When Nerine was younger, she lived in Phoenix, Arizona, where there was little water and definitely no beaches anywhere close. Yet Nerine always loved beaches. She would read about them in stories, look up pictures on the internet, and once she even filled their pool with sand and made her own beach! She got in so much trouble for that.
Then her owner decided that the little JBD deserved to live near a beach. They moved to a beach home in Florida, where Nerine could go to the ocean all she wanted. That is the happiest time in her life. Nerine immediately took to the sea, drifting in the foaming waves.
When she was called back inside, her claw got stuck in a little hole in the sand. She dug her claw out, and inside of the hole she found a little crab like creature. She brought it to her owner and she was told it was a sand flea. Nerine already had a pet hermit crab in a tank in her bedroom, so she stuck the little crustacean into the tank with her crab. She named her first sand flea Sandy Cheeks.
She often found those little holes in she sand, and always dug them up. Soon she had over 30 sand fleas, and she had to get a new cage for them.
Her favorite food is kelp fried in bacon grease, and she found out quite by accident that her pets loved it too. The little sand fleas would do anything for the treat, so Nerine decided to use that to her advantage. She trains them to do tricks, and rewards them with kelp fried in bacon grease. She invites every one of her friends to see her sand flea circus when they have all learned new tricks, and all the JBD's in town know of it too. Most of them love to watch her pets walk on a tight rope.
Sand fleas and oceans have taken over her life, but Nerine's okay with that. Both things she loves and will always love.

mythical island, whose existence still remains a mystery. The city was
mentioned in the great Greek philosopher, Plato's dialogues Timaeus
and Critias.

Favorite Hobby::.
Ever since childhood Atlantis had felt a unusual connection to the sea. Even as a tiny bean, whenever she would see a boat departing for the sea, she would run towards it and beg the sailors to take her with them. She was always fascinated by the rhythmic motion of a boat, the comforting sound of the waves lapping by the boat's hull and the treasure of secrets that she believed to be hidden in the ocean.
So her favourite hobby would be sailing.
Yes, to her, nothing compares to the breeze blowing through her fur, when she goes sailing, to the endless sparkling ocean stretched towards the horizon. Atlantis had always dreamed of hopping on a boat and exploring the lands unknown to her, which she knew just lay on the other side of the sea, waiting, as if, just for her.

Clara has always loved playing hide-ń-seek with the crabs on the beach. She likes playing with any type of crab, but her favorite one is the bright red one. He is always wanting to play, and is the nicest. Though hide ń seek is her favorite thing to do, Clara is, not to be mean but, terrible at it. She usually decides to hide behind palm trees, cover herself with sand, and things like that, but her favorite hiding place is putting seashells on her eyes, and pretends she is a sandcastle. She thinks if she covers her face, and can't see you, you can see her.
Personality

Fun~
Clara has always loved having fun. She can't stand being bored. She does whatever she can to keep from being bored. She also takes it upon herself to make sure everyone else is having fun, too. In her free time, she creates more games to play when she doesn't have anything to do.

Artsy~
Clara has always loved to create art and crafts. She takes sticks and leaves to make tools or pretty objects. She draws pictures of the crabs in the sand, and squishes red berries to paint her best friend, the red crab. She paints him everywhere, using her long tail plume like a paint brush.

Not the smartest~
Though she can think of crafts, Clara is not the most creative with sense. She has the worst hiding spots when she plays hide ń seek, and doesn't think logically sometimes. She tries, but, for example, swimming a mile or so to an island she can barely see because one of the ghost crabs said there were pretty shells is not the most logical idea.

Kind~
Clara tries as hard as she can to be nice even more than she tries to not be bored. She hates it when people or other animals are mad at her for something she did. She always watches what she says to jellybean dragons, just so she makes sure no one's feelings are hurt. If Clara accidentally hurts someone's feelings, she feels worse than the one with their feelings hurt.

Likes to be pretty~
Seashells are Clara's favorite to make herself pretty. The red crab helps her make a small hole in them and she puts thin seaweed strips in between them and wears them like necklaces. Her favorite color seashells are the light pink ones, the color of her eyes. Clara grooms herself often, making sure she isn't matted or has any stray hairs.

Favorite hobby;; Kai comes from Hawaii, so he grew up making leis for festivals.
His favorite hobby is making leis of all different colors for his friends and family. His
first lei was coral pink, teal and sandy colored, based on his own colors.

ｆａｖｏｒｉｔｅ ．ｈｏｂｂｙ － － if you where to ask little finnie here about her favorite thing to do she'd answer without a doubt studying maps. this little lady just loves everything about these helpful pieces of paper from the elegant designs of the older ones to the fact they're very useful when adventuring. well you may find it a bit strange for such a young bean to have a hobby like this, but it makes little finnley feel closer to her father when he's out on the high seas leaving her with her auntie and well she likes making them when on adventures with her friends.
