pretty picture with ribbons Prayer ribbons tied to the fence of a church in Salvador, Brazil. According to the blog, people would go to the church and pray to be healed or for a family member to be healed, and if they recovered, they would bring a plastic replica of the part of the body that was healed back to the church. Funny, but it rather makes sense and it's a very nice concept in my mind.

I thought about posting a picture of all the prayer ribbons tied to the fences surrounding the DMZ separating South Korea from its Northern counterpart, but it was too sad. Unnecessary info is unnecessary. Just thought I would mention it, though, as they are very sobering pictures, indeed.
