Love doesn't have to be romance, it can be between a pet and it's owner, two friends, a mother and her child, it can be almost anything! And everyone needs a little love in their lives.

Love is shown in many ways, from something as simple as a smile, to something as straight-forward as a dozen roses and a kiss. So stop ignoring the simple things, they mean more than the little package they come in.

Lacey is very optimistic and cheery. She is always spreading love and generosity to everyone she meets. There is nothing in the world that Lacey believes in more than love and she does her best to let everyone know. Lacey is often inconsistent with her views on things, most of the time her answer will be highly influenced by how she feels at the time. She is very sentimental and emotional, following her heart wherever it may take her. She has been through a lot but doesn't give up on anything. If someone is feeling sad she will do her best to lift their spirits and won't give up until she has done so. Lacey, though always talking to strangers, is actually quite shy when it comes to talking about herself. She always comes across as sweet and kind, but she is impossible to read and is slow to trust. If she opens up to someone then it means they are important to her. Also, even though not many know very much about her, she never comes across as mysterious, always friendly and kind-hearted.

Lacey was born on a particularly rainy afternoon in february; february 14th to be exact. Though the gift of life and love is such a powerful one, the first to hold this young child, to look into her eyes and to tell her she’s beautiful was not her mother, in fact. For on this particular afternoon, with the rain on the streets and love on everyone’s mind, it was inevitably so that if this particular mother held her particular daughter, their love would form instantly and be stronger than any other. And if this mother were to send her daughter away, just as she had been planning from the start, she could not fall in love with her child, for it would then be impossible to give her to another family, no matter how loving they were. So off the child went, down the hallway in the arms of a strange man on their way to the hospital nursery, never to see her true mother again. Though the child, too young to comprehend the situation, does not, now, remember every detail, the memory of seeing her first born child leaving forever, still lives fresh in the mother’s mind. And yes, both mother and child live on, through struggles and heartbreaks as everyone else, not dwelling on the past and always hoping for a brighter future, even if their days are well; they’re only as good as anyone else you know, because nobody could possibly be better when everyone is equal.
Now, this young child who lay bundled up in blankets in the hospital nursery, has as much of an opportunity as everyone else, and, though she doesn’t know it yet, has more will than anyone to take advantage of it. And of course, still in the month of february, february 17th specifically, this young child is moved to an orphanage. So as days go on, a plethora of potential parents come by that orphanage, hoping to adopt a young child, all passing by this particular little girl without much thought until a particular day in march, march 3rd if you care to know. And these potential parents who happened to take notice to this young child, happened to fall in love. So, this little girl who these new parents happened to dub ‘Lacey’ was taken to a place she would now call home.
So as the days, weeks, months, and years went by and this infant became a toddler and began to walk around the house, these new parents weren’t so new anymore, and they became her true family, by it’s complete definition. And as february 14th came around again, turning this young child 3 years old, she was beginning to understand, and appreciate greatly, the effect love had on others. And because she appreciated love so much, she decided to help others appreciate it too. So anytime she saw anyone, every time she passed someone by, she would smile and wave, letting them know that she cared, even if only in the slightest. And anytime she saw someone who looked like they needed cheering up, she would do just that, she would attempt to lift their spirits. And, even if they still weren’t in the best of moods, at least she showed them what love can do.
Lacey’s parents saw what she did and they were proud of their daughter, but then something happened. On one particular rainy and dreary night as they drove home from the park, the road was a little too slick, the drivers a little too careless. Ultimately, they got in a head on head crash with another vehicle, killing both of Lacey’s parents. Being in the back seat, Lacey made it out of the crash with her life, though now she was alone again, to be sent back to the orphanage once her wounds had healed and she left the hospital.
So this young child, though her true parents by birth may still be living, is an orphan, for her true parents by every definition other than birth, have died, leaving her alone in the orphanage.
