bratty at times. After a while, he makes it
clear to you that he is a male, though.

PERSONALITY
Vinnie has more of a rebel personality, but his true traits shine through as you get to know him. He hides his feelings behind a series of troublesome acts, giving him a bad reputation. His parents would tell him to stop and contain his rough behavior if they were still alive, but he rebelled as he thought no one understood him, considering his parents were gone. Of course, this was at a young age, around 8, too young for a kid to aim to be troublesome, but Vinnie is indeed intelligent for his age (10 years old). He excels in school, getting A's in all of his classes and knowing much about the world. He is ashamed by his school reputation so tries to get in trouble, like putting tacks on the teacher's chair, but a different kid if always blamed and Vinnie gets good grades and reputations. Outside of school, however, everyone sees him as a small, troublesome kid. He likes being blamed as he doesn't care, and it feels good to keep his feelings hidden from everyone else.
Once you get to know Vinnie, however, his attitude starts to change. He becomes a bit more awkward, a bit more ready to let his feelings out at a steady rate, and... just different. Completely different if you're a friend. Inside, he's truly insecure and you find that out as soon as Vinnie considers you a pal. Sometimes his rebel side returns to shadow his true personality if you make him mad, though!

MEMORY
[The mom and dad in this story are made up; fictional; as well as the two attackers and the man entering at the end]
Vinnie squirmed and opened his eyes for the first time. The little slits of his dark orange eyes found his parents. He squirmed again and giggled, his paw reaching up to try and reach his father's face. He was only a couple hours old, but he was maturing quickly. Upon seeing his eyes open, his mother cooed at him and got teary-eyed, looking at her mate in love.
"See that, Lepakko? His eyes are deep orange, like your's." She leaned over and gave him a kiss.
This only made Vinnie squirm more, but he changed his position so he was reaching for his mother. His parents giggled, and Vinnie giggled back. The father nodded, staring into Vinnie's eyes while saying, "Yes, but look at his tail!" At this, the male teased the end of Vinnie's tail, and upon instinct the baby jerked it back, but he knew it was all fun and games. "It's exactly like your's." Vinnie's father said.
The parents kept fussing and cooing over their first baby boy. They didn't know it would be their last.
After a while, his mother leaned forward, studying Vinnie's features. "For some reason," she started, looking up at her mate, "he reminds me of a penguin."
The father took this into consideration, studying the look of the boy as well. "Yes, but we can't name him Penguin. I think we should name him what "penguin" is in Finnish."
The woman nodded thoughtfully and replied, "That would be Pingviini." Being Finnish herself, the mother knew this by heart.
"Pingviini," the dragon beside her said, "it has a nice ring to it. And... Vinnie... for short?"
Vinnie listened to them the whole time, but he didn't like 'Pingviini' much at all!
However, his mother gave his father a light peck on the cheek and said, "Yes, I'd like that." They embraced so that Vinnie could see his mother's face, but he did not expect what happened next. He thought his life was daffodils and magic and love, but not right now it wasn't.
His mother's face contorted in pain, and he looked down to see red liquid dripping from her stomach. Her arm's loosened and she fell to the floor, dead. A pool of blood surrounded her figure in seconds. Vinnie's father jumped up, shocked. But he didn't let the shock drive him to do what he did next -- he let the pain decide for him.
The attacker had dropped the bloody knife when he saw the large male dragon tower over him. Vinnie's father, in rage and pain, grabbed the knife and stuck it right through the attacker's chest, through his heart. He fell down with the knife still in him, and Vinnie was already crying and screaming. He was only a couple of hours old, and this was a terrible sight to see for a newborn. His father instantly snatched him from his crib -- or whatever he was in -- and cradled him, trying to calm him down. However, his father didn't see the woman jump down from the ceiling and creep up behind him, but Vinnie did. He started to scream louder, but it was too late. The woman dressed in black impaled him with a sword, just missing Vinnie's rear right paw. Pingviini's father fell to the cold stone ground, clutching his only son to his chest. He died next to his mate, holding on to Vinnie tightly.
Vinnie had stopped crying, and he watched the woman walk over and bend down to grab the boy, but before she did her head popped up. She and Vinnie heard something around the corner and the black-clad woman stood up and booked it out of the cave. Vinnie's vision started to go blurry, and the last thing he saw was a tall jelly bean dragon walking up to the bloody scene, looking straight into Vinnie's orange eyes.

"So, Pingviini, how are you today? Are you ready for this interview? It's a bit personal."
"My name is Vinnie. And hurry up, I don't care about this. Somebody forced me here..."
"Oh, okay. So Vinnie, tell us, what are your parent's names?"
"Oh yeah, real personal. One of my parent's friends told me my dad's name was Lepakko, and my mom's was Lauren."
"Interesting. Do you know anything about them?"
"Um, no. Why would I? They were killed when I was a baby."
"But, Vinnie, you know that man that found you after the woman ran away?"
"Yeah, I -- I mean, no! What the heck are you talking about, crazy man?!"
"Aha, Vinnie. You have a faint memory about them. Care to tell us about it?"
"But I --, ... Um, no... not really... that was a dark time for just a pup..."
"Vinnie, it's okay. Isn't it better to let it out than keep it all bottled up? Besides, it would help us catch those jerks that killed your parents."
"DON'T SAY THAT! ... I mean, please don't talk so bluntly about my parents. All I know is that my mom was stabbed by a man in black, my father killed him, and then when he tried to calm me down a woman jumped down from the ceiling and stabbed him. That's all I remember."
"... I'm sure you remember one more key piece of information?"
"Ugh... then a male dragon walked up and took me to his home, I think. But I blacked out between those points..."
"Why do you think the dragon took you?"
"Oh my gosh. So I wouldn't starve? So I wouldn't die? So bugs didn't crawl over me and eat my flesh? He wanted to save me from DYING, duh! I'm done with this stupid interview."
"Well, that concludes Pingviini's interview! Stay tuned for Johnny Depp, with an interview about 'Pirates of the Caribbean!'"
"Whoa, what?! I love Johnny Depp! I gotta get home and watch that!"

COLLAGE
My second extra is a collage, of everything Vinnie likes! Hope you like it c;
p.s. I had to use online images instead of making it by hand, as I can't draw well and I had no magazines/newspaper/etc to cut from!
p.s.s. In case you don't understand what's on here, Vinnie likes bats, fortune cookies (the one shown says "when one door closes, another opens"), Fanta and Coke sodas MIXED, quills, jack-o-lanterns, the color pale brown, pumpkin seeds or anything pumpkin, candy corns or just candy in general, snow, honey, writing, stars, lions, glass bottles (he collects them!), and the video game Final Fantasy (all of them) or just video games in general!
