Name: Romanesque
Gender: Female
Bird related stuff: Romanesque decided to touch with her inner birdy side and decided to get a congo african grey parrot companion she named Howl (how-ool). Howl is almost always perched on her shoulder or back, and has pretty much became a part of Romanesque. Romanesque has a habit of collecting all the feathers he sheds and putting them in a little glass bottle necklace she wears around her neck. Howl is a rather smart (and cocky) bird who when Romanesque first got him just repeated everything she said, but after listening to her speech and finding the meaning of words, he started to form his own sentences. Romanesque treats him as a son and even gives him little schooling lessons. He has learned shapes and the three primary colors. (Fun fact: African grey parrots are one of the smartest birds in the world)

Along with teaching him smarts, Romanesque respects his wild roots and never clips him so he can fly around (in a bird-safe environment inside her home, or course) and grows fruit trees inside her home that she lets Howl harvest from.

Junonia has loved birds ever since she was young.Why?Well,it may sound strange,but she was raised by birds.
Junonia was abandoned as a child,still in her egg.A mother Paradisaea apoda bird {Greater bird of paradise}by the name of Lailatook Junonia in.Laila took the egg because she had thought the egg was a bird egg.With great effort,Laila carried the egg to her nest.Junonia soon hatched,and Laila realized this was no ordinary "bird".Here is the story..

Laila was quite baffled,but did not love Junonia any less.Of course,there was other chicks.The other chicks,Lilan,Mace,and Hena,made fun of Junonia.Laila constantly punished them for this,but they just would not stop.Soon Junonia grew very large,and instantly had to sleep on a larger nest beside the smaller nest.Laila made her beloved daughter a big nest for her to sleep in,and Junonia did not complain.On a hot summer day,Junonia was watching Laila teach the others how to fly.Junonia watched them for a while,and then wondered if she could fly,too.Junonia lept out of the tree,but injured her leg badly.Laila treated to her.Junonia didn't understand why she was different.She questioned her species,and soon set off to find her own kind.Laila of course,cried and hugged her adopted daughter all day before Junonia left.Junonia gave her mother a big hug,and set off.Junonia soon found her mother.It turned out,that her mother had been ambushed by a pack of wolves and got lost in the battle.Junonia was so glad,and told her mother all of the story.Her mother wanted to thank Laila,so Junonia took her mother to Laila.Laila smiled up at Junonia's mother.Junonia's mother smiled down at her.Soon,Junonias mother made a home right next to Laila's.It took a little while for Junonia to get used to the instincts,and ways of her kind.Her mother {And sometimes Laila} helped her a lot with this.Junonia left her mother when she was an adult,to travel to The Galapagos Islands.Laila's last daughter,Lilan,traveled with her.Laila said goodbye to Junonia and Lilan,and so did Junonia's mother.When they made it,they lived there.Lilan and Junonia still live here to this day,but plan to travel a lot more.

Jerome

Bird related stuff:
There are millions of different birds out in the world, big and small, flying and flightless, but none have
quite gained Jerome's interest as much as the Weka bird, mostly known as the Woodhen or the Maori hen.
Weka are sturdy little brown flightless birds, they usually live around sand dunes, forests, grasslands, and
sometimes around the ocean shores, and though their breeding season varies, the parents of the nests will
alternate throughout incubating the nests. These birds are omnivores, as they feed on insects, small mammals,
and plants. Some examples to use within the diet could be smaller birds, mice / rats, earthworms, grass grubs,
grass, berries, and varying types of seeds. Jerome loves to watch these little chicken sized birds, whether it
be watching their sleep or taking care of young, sometimes even eating. He's known to keep a Weka bird as a
pet at all times, and when they grow old in age and pass from this life, he buries them in a little place behind
his home, which is by now covered in little graves with tons of different names carved into the stone, each one
of his beloved Weka birds. His current one's name is Twinkie, a little female, who he has cared for and loved since
he found her hatching. More to the point of looks, from Jerome's view, the Weka birds are like little brown silky
textured chickens. Twinkie is a softer brown than most, her feathers tinged with black and grey markings, and her
little feet a pinkish orange. The Weka birds do indeed have wings, though they are very small in size, and cannot
be used for flying by the birds.

    u s e r n a m e
    • I am ~Caramel~ but feel free to call me anything. I am currently not an owner of a JBD.
    n a m e
    • I would name her Auburn. I would probably call her Burn or Aubry for short. I would name her this because of the brownish color on her back. It reminds me of the auburn color of the leaves during the fall so I decieed to call her Auburn. Her nickname, Aubry, came to be because i like that name and I think its cute and since her name starts with the same letters, I thought that it fit.
    g e n d e r
    • Auburn is a female. To me it just looks more feminine than masculine. Sorry then those who see it as a male but it looks like a girl to me.

Hi, I'm ~Chernobyl~, but I insist... call me Cher(;
Image
Baijo? Yes, that is this adorable JBD's name, but no there is no significant meaning behind it, it's just a name I thought suited him best.
Image
Yes male! Why wouldn't he be? It's obvious with his handsome and daring good looks.

The Chinese, Egyptian, Greek, Semitic and Siberian legends depict the raven as a messenger of storms or bad weather. In African, Asian and European legends, the raven forecasts death. Shakespeare presents ravens as messengers or exponents of evil (like in "Julius Caesar", "Macbeth" and "Othello"), while in "Titus Andronicus" they are described as benefactors feeding abandoned children. In his poem "The Raven", Edgar Allan Poe associates this bird with lost love and despair.
Raven's calls can express tenderness, happiness, surprise, emotion or rage. Ravens can imitate birds with the same vocal note, mimicking perfectly the crows. The penetrating loud croak signals that something has disturbed the raven. Some say they can be even taught to learn the human speech.

im leaving chicken smoothie, but I'm giving everything to my friend ~Satanic~Embrace~ or however you spell it. Sorry for the inconvenience everyone, but I've been through a lot of emotional stuff lately that I just can't handle anymore. You were all great friends, and SE has been a past member of CS, and she said she would come back only to honor my retirement. Treat her with nothing but respect, she is one of the nicest people you will meet. Goodbye all!

    Vjg321 at your service. Hello, I thought I would be trying out for this beautiful bean so I thought it would be fitting to tell you about myself. I currently own one bean, Eira and I love her to death. I love to draw, read, write and lots of other things, but I won't bore you.
Name:
    Quetzal
    ket-SAHL; rhymes with pretzel <3
    I chose this unique name for him because I thought it fit him very well. Quetzal means feather which I thought was very fitting and would go perfectly.
Gender:
    Male
Bird related stuff:
    To be honest, Quetzal had never really been interested in birds before. He has always thought they were very pretty and beautiful, but he had never taken an interest, until one day.
    Quetzal sat in the soft grass, his tail flicking back and forth as the breeze blew. His hands worked in the garden, attempting to arrange some kind of life, trying to make some plants stay alive. All of the sudden, he felt something hit his tail. Quetzal looked back at his tail to see a pair of eyes peeking back at him. Quetzal let out a shrill, bloodcurdling scream as he jumped to his feet, shrieking "Get it off!” raising his voice by about 6 octaves, as he jumped around, shaking his tail, until a small animal fell out of his tail. He watched as a small bird fell to the ground, and immediately he felt so bad he had shaken it so hard. He knelt down next the small owlet who was laying there, chirping. "Umm.. I'm sorry I flung you out of my tail.” He said talking to the small bird. Quetzal had no idea what to do, he wasn't sure if he was supposed to touch it, so he just stared at it. Quetzal finally decided he needed to help the poor thing, so he ran inside, coming back out with a box and a rag. He gently wrapped the small bird in the rag, and set him in the box, caring him inside. He set the box down, and then headed into the kitchen trying to find something for the bird to eat. He looked around and saw spaghetti noodles. 'Birds eat worms right? Spaghetti is like worms right?’ he thought bringing the spaghetti to the bird. He placed the noodles by the bird as the small owlet just stared at them. Quetzal let out a yawn tried from the attempted garden work, so he picked up the box and moved it into his room, flopping himself on to the bed, within in seconds, asleep.
    Quetzal woke up yawning, squinting as walked towards the box to greet the little bird. "Good Mor..." he said in mid-sentence, realizing that the box was empty. He ran frantically through the house looking for the bird. He ran into the kitchen to see the bird sitting atop the counter, eating his paper towels. "Wha.. Get down from there!' He said running toward the bird. The little bird was too fast and fluttered into the air, knocking food onto Quetzal. Quetzal got up, only to slip and fall to the floor. He ran around the house for almost 2 hours, trying to catch this bird. Finally, almost as if the bird felt bad for him, it landed softly, in front of him on the couch. "There….I….got………..you." Quetzal said weakly picking up the bird. "That wasn't so hard' Quetzal said wheezing. With a satisfied look on his face, still covered in food, he opened the door to his yard and outstretched his hands. The little bird jumped up, spreading its wings and fluttered up to a trees, joining it family. "I'm going to miss you little guy." He said softly.
    {Word count; 498}
    Today;
    Every year, a Tawny owl comes back to Quetzal's back yard with it's mate and hatches it's babies. The small baby bird Quetzal found was a tawny owl, he later learned. The baby owl Quetzal found had a rather darker head, and was smaller than it's family mates. The owl that comes back every year is him, and Quetzal knows it. So every year Quetzal let's one paper towel go in his back yard, and the next day he will always see that owl happily sitting in the tree, high up, eating the paper towel.
    These beautiful creatures are now Quetzal's favorite birds. He often wears one of their feathers in his tail, as a constant memory.
